Jonathan Peters

For years Jonathan Peters has been entertaining the straight side of clubland, but what's funny is that some of his biggest songs are the diva vocal anthems that us gay boys gag over!!

So this metrosexual DJ (you've gotta admit--He's pretty to look at!) has been a favorite of mine for awhile...even though there's a few of his mixes I just couldn't imagine playing anywhere!

If you ever want to hear something completely crazy, put on any Jonathan Peters Dub--They're SO intense and insane, it's clearly meant to mess with your mind when you're under the influence of...er...anything lol.

Amber - Above The Clouds (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**Amber gets the JP treatment and it's beautiful!! I was surprised at how NOT hard the beats were for this song (again, check the dub lol) but it's nice because it really pairs well with such a pretty song. This was the mainstream version that dance radio played here in NYC.**

Ciara - Like A Boy (JM's Jonathan Peters Deeper Radio Edit)

**This one was by special request (so I hope you like it!) and I'm glad I did it because this is definitely a great mix by JP. It's a straight up dance mix with just a standard production which works great with Ciara's delivery here. It has some electro influences and is very danceable!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?cmy3dyqjjl1

Debelah Morgan - Dance With Me (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**Jonathan made quite a few mixes of this one and while this edit isn't for the one I favor, it's the most normal sounding one of all of them lol. I loved this song and I don't know why Debelah just seemed to dissappear!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?dzyx0jjzvd2

Donna Summer - The Power Of One (JM's Jonathan Peters Sound Factory Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**This song, random as it may be, was a song from the Pokemon 2000 movie. I don't know how Donna got caught up in that but I'm glad she did. JP offered both a regular club mix and a Sound Factory mix for this. The Sound Factory mix is definitely the fun one here!! The beats are hard and the build up is intense!! After the build up it almost sounds like an out of control merry-go-round or like they say in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, "Merry Go Round Broke Down" hahaha!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?b0y9ymbjamb

Jon Secada - Stop (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**In 2000 Jon released his "Better Part Of Me" CD and this was the only single released both in English and in Spanish (as "Asi") which only charted at #23 but made it to #15 on the dance charts. Jon sounds very at home with the dance beat and JP put together a really great mix that compliments the melody of the song.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?mn4v4jxkqmp

Karissa Noel - Corrupt (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**This is a JP classic and it's easy to see why!! Karissa gives us a really sexy vocal with JP's anthemic production and result is legendary. How can you argue with the lyrics "Deny me if you think you can/But I always get my man/And before this night is through/I will corrupt you...". This song is diva personified. And don't forget to check out the Becky Baeling cover which is a few posts back!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?bm2eybcz1ym

Katrina Ruiz - You're Gonna Miss Me (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**So this song came out of nowhere and I've yet to find any information about her at all! This got a full-fledged release on both CD and vinyl on the Robbins label in 2002 and yet no one seems to know who she is. Anyone? Anyone!!?? Either way, this song is incredible and the CD offers mixes by JP, Al B Rich and Rob Girellini. Al B Rich's is definitely my fave (I'll post that one soon) but JP did a very "No One's Gonna Change You" mix here if you know what I mean. Very pretty with a killer diva vocal!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?jmj2fmj1joy

Kumi Koda - Take Back (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**I posted the Junior Vasquez mix of this not too long ago and here's JP's take on it. This edit has a lower bpm which is kinda nice because it makes Kumi's vocals a little bit easier to understand.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?poolmeltej9

Reina - No One's Gonna Change You (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**This is definitely one of JP's finest moments. This stunningly lush mix has Reina pulling out the stops on this dance music torch song! I've always enjoyed Robbie Tronco's mix alot (can't beat that violin solo!) but this one has an extra added bridge in it that Robbie's doesn't have. Reina, of course, sounds incredible and this one will never go away! Always a favorite!!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?5mkinpcforp

Rockell - What U Did 2 Me (JM's Dirty Jonathan Peters Radio Edit)

**This is probably my favorite Rockell song ever!! Rockell is pissed off to no end here and she's gonna tell us ALL about it--With the help of JP of course! As angry as Rockell gets (with lyrics like "Who do you think you're fooling?/Love ain't a game to be played/My heart is empty/Like the promises you made/But now I'm getting stronger/And I don't need you any longer.") is as agressive as JP gets with some of the best distorted synths I've ever heard. The CD single came with a radio edit, full mix, a dub and the "dirty mix" which is really more of a mixshow. So I took the mixshow and I chopped it up a bit and added my favorite part of the full mix which is the synth line that comes in at 3:57 (stunning!) and then brought it all back. My other favorite part is when Rockell goes "Did you hear that?/No, you don't know that sound/Well it's all the shit you did to me/And it's coming around."--WERQ!!!**

I'm in a trance and my world is spinning...Spinning baby, out of control...

He's so breathtaking. ::swoon::

So I was feeling a little trancey yesterday when I was working on editing, and this is what I got. Some are alternate mixes of songs you all might know and some are just really great hard house/trance songs. Im usually only in this kinda mood when I'm really over caffinated, so drink up boys and get your trance on! :-D

Angelic - Can't Keep Me Silent (JM's Jam X & Dumonde Radio Edit)
**This song is nuts!! Really pretty ethereal vocals with a KILLER production here by Jam X & Dumonde! I got the chance to hear them once in NY (at Club Shelter) and it was insane! I've never heard such fast and hard beats before lol. This one will rock the sh*t outta your speakers!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?dtuxcbxzxt9

Aurora - Ordinary World (JM's Condor Radio Edit)
**I first heard this song on "Junior Vasquez: Twilo Vol 1" and I loved the mix instantly! Aurora took on the classic Duran Duran song and made it her own and Condor really did such an incredible job with this mix! This is some drama-trance right here...and the drama starts NOW! :-) **
http://www.mediafire.com/?ndf4udtk1g2

Avalon - Can't Live A Day (JM's Tiesto Radio Edit)
**Tiesto can be very hit or miss with me. Sometimes his mixes are amazing and sometimes they really just don't do that much for me--Well, THIS one is probably one of my favorites!! Great diva vocal here (turns out this too is a Christian song--and don't they make the best dance songs??) and Tiesto works the hell out of it!! Must have!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?nrtm5cmyssp

Cascada - Everytime We Touch (Dan Winter Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Ok, I know I know! They played the hell outta this song--And you're right! But I was such a fan of the original version (by Maggie Reilly) that I was so happy to hear a dance version. The song really is very pretty and has a catchy melody that you'll be singing forever! Dan Winter didn't vary that far from the original, but there are some nice new elements that freshen this song up a bit!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vty4emerjuz

Celine Dion - I Drove All Night (JM's Chris The Greek Radio Edit)
**Celine goes trance! So much fun!! A really punchy bass line with some really fun (albeit slightly dated sounding) synths here make this a real high energy anthem!! Celine's voice works over anything, I'm convinced!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?x0tvlzgjxmm

Da Buzz - Alive (JM's Yanou Radio Edit)
**WOW! That's all I can say is WOW!!! This has got to be one of the most BRILLIANT trance mixes I've ever heard!! Da Buzz' lead singer Annika's vocals sounds PERFECT with this mix and this has probably some of the most incredible synth work I've ever heard in my life!! I gag from 1:40 to 2:45 here...Incredible piece of work here!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?0zt32livdwg

Iio - At The End (JM's Fairlite Radio Edit)
**Well we all know the stellar Johnny Vicious mix but what happens when Iio goes trance? Well, this is pretty fabulous! The vocals sound right at home here and I love how the beat changes from being steady to a breakbeat sound. Brilliant!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mfxzldxukij

Jessy - Look At Me Now (JM's Milk Inc Radio Edit)
**This was a really big song in NY for awhile and you can see why. It's a fun song with a great hook and some f*ck you vocals!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ejnjonnd0yu

Karen Ramirez - Looking For Love (JM's Trouser Enthusiasts Radio Mix)
**I got this one from the guys who run MusicBoxMix (which is a FABU blog!!) and this is such a fun mix! I love the intro--SO hot!! It's a really different take on this song compared to the Peter Rauhofer mix which I've posted previously. Louie, this is all for you! I hope you enjoy it!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?xuk1wddzedy

Kristine W - The Boss (Mike Lewis Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Well, there's a first time for everything right?? I never thought I would hear Kristine's vocals over something so hard and fast! It's pretty good tho!! It's like Kristine W meets Cascada!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?oyybt5wgtm7

Liz Kay - Castles In The Sky (Cascada Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When this song first came out, everyone was gagging! You couldn't get away from it!! The vocals were originally done by Marsha but now trance and hard house favorites Liz Kay and Cascada take it on once again and give it a very fresh approach! I love the ballad beats through the verses!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?xdtyiadk4yj

Mandy Moore - Have A Little Faith In Me (JM's Ford Radio Edit)
**UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! I originall had this mix labeled as the Mac Quayle mix, but it turns out it was a mislabel and was actually done by Ford, so I've relabeled it here but I didn't re-upload the song! So make sure when you DL it you're changing the title cause there's nothing worse than not giving the credit where it's due!! Mandy Moore released her fourth CD named "Coverage" where she payed tribute to all of the artists who inspire her which includes this cover of the classic John Hiatt. Not only did I not know that this song got remixed, but I was surprised to hear a trance mix of it! This is SO much fun and Mandy's voice sounds gorgeous with this mix!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?toz5mtw9miz

Milk Inc - Walk On Water (H2O Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was another really popular song in NY for awhile and it's really all about the chorus here. "I would walk on water/Just to be with you/Walk on water/Just to be with you/Split the ocean/Cross the sea/Walk on water/If you believe...". It's so pretty!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vnncneolmvt

Sonique - Alive (JM's Pete Martine Radio Edit)
**Sonique made it big with her hit "It Feels So Good" in 1999 and then seemed to dissappear after! Her second release here "Sky" was the last song for her to chart here. This song, released in 2003 only charted in the UK at #70 but is my favorite of all her releases! The lyrics make me wanna go run a marathon! This song is just incredibly uplifiting and it's impossible to be in a bad mood when you listen to it!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vdwt3vmzabe

Tina Ann - All I Need Is A Miracle (JM's Chris The Greek Radio Edit)
**Dance music diva Tina Ann took on this class Mike & The Mechanics 1986 classic (which hit #5 for them) in 2004 for the Nu Dance Traxx Volume 93 CD and while this never charted, it's a great effort from Tina. Chris the Greek once again gives us a high energy song that just makes you feel good!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vmattcxythi

Bonus Edit: This song comes directly out of my childhood and could be one of the reasons my parents had an incling that I might not be like the other boys in school! Just me, a mirror, mom's hairbrush and this song and I was set. There's my confession from this dancefloor :-P

Chris Cox

Hey everyone! I'm very excited about this post! I actually had the VERY great honor to be the opening DJ for Chris Cox (that's me and him!) when he played in NYC at Spirit and let me tell you--Aside from being one of the best nights of my life, he was the NICEST person ever!! The minute he walked into the booth I started sweating lol. I was playing Inaya Day's cover of "Nasty Girl" when he walked in and he was like "Oooh! I hear a Vanity 6 sample!" and I said "Oh, this is Inaya Day's cover of Nasty Girl" and he just went "Oh nice! I like it!"...and it kinda blew my mind he hadn't heard it but I guess that's what happens when you're so involved in the industry!

There's really not much more to say about him! After Thunderpuss split he continued to be amazing...That's all I got! Hah!

Anna Vissi - Call Me (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was SUCH an amazing vocal. I've posted an edit I did for this song because I didn't have the official handy so here you go!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?4texvtngtbk

Beat Hustlerz feat Thea Austin - Just About Had Enough (Hustlerz Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I included this one because this is the team work of Chris, Jody Den Broeder and Ellis Miah. Jody & Ellis wrote it and Chris mixed it all together and gave us one of the best diva vocals ever!! This song never gets old for me!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?xm0iiw1dint

Christina Aguilera - Hurt (Chris Cox Radio Edit with Intro) **Official Edit**
**This was a juggernaut on the dancefloor and while I loved Jonathan Peters version a little bit more, Chris' mix was a thunderous runner up. I love that he offered an edit with the intro from the original version of the song! Stunning!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?c5ray4n3gzl

Danielle Bollinger - When The Broken Hearted Love Again (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was Danielle's first song and did you know that it's a Christian inspired song? Released on EsNtion records (Ascention--Get the biblical reference? lol) this was a fantastic package! Two CD's of remixes, dubs and edits from Chris Cox, Davidson Ospina, Phenix, Thick Dick (which is weird to read that on a God fearing record label lol) and Josh Harris so there's definitely something for everyone! Chris' is definitely the mix to beat and listening to her sing makes me sad that she's no longer making music.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?zl1ytcydxbo

Debby Holliday - Dive (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**So Debby walked into the Perfect Beat offices and said "I wanna be a dance music diva" and they made her one! True story!! If I had only known it was THAT easy! Did you know that she's actually the daughter of singer/songwriter Jimmy Holliday and that she toured as a backup singer for people like Rod Stewart and Kiss? Craziness!! ALSO she even sang the theme song "Dig Deep" for Courtney Cox' sitcome "Dirt"! This girls been busy!! Well this is one of my fave songs by her and I believe this was the first single as well.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?njznmojsjjt

Donna Summer - I Will Live For Love (JM's Chris Cox Radio Mix)
**Easily one of Donna's best! It's dramatic (cause it was written for a musical Donna's been writing forever about her life) and full of energy!! Chris really takes it home here in an anthemic way that has Donna on a tour de force!! Highly reccommended!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?kbw0qn0xgwm

Gioia Bruno - Wreckin My Nerves (JM's Chris Cox Radio Edit)
**I've been such a huge fan of Gioia's from her days with freestyle super group Expose and all through her solo career. Her CD "Expose This" is an excellent piece of dance pop music which everyone should own! This however is one of my favorite songs by her! It went all the way to #3 on the charts and it's easy to see why! Chris actually put together a funkier mix here and it's perfect over lyrics like "You're wreckin my nerves/Was that your intention?/Cause baby it worked/You're like an infection/You're wreckin my nerves/It's 24-7/You drive me insane/Why you always stressing me out?!". And there's more great lyrics all throughout the track as well.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?9jdobas1txh

GTS feat Norman Jean & Luci M - Le Freak (JM's Chris Cox Radio Edit)
**Well we know that Chris and Barry used the sample for this in their song with Jocelyn Enriquez which is a few posts back but now, featuring two of the original members of Chic, it gets it's own proper remix! Chris did a brilliant job updating it with a modern sound that still has retro elements.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?xymkipijwj5

Kelly Clarkson - Walk Away (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This has to be one of Kelly's best remixes! Chris definitely turned this into a feel good song that makes me wanna snap my fingers and my neck and tell someone to piss off! Haha!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?jynsjkmkx5t

SK8 - Amnesty (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**SK8's latest offering with boyfriend Chris Cox is STELLAR!! SOOOOOO good! I believe that SK8 finally found her element. While I've loved almost all her stuff, some of it is a little...er...specific but now, that's all changed. This is a beautiful anthem by both of them and unlike some of her other tracks, this one has direction and energy! Bravo!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?nyetmryygl9

Walker - So Deep (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This may be one of my all time favorite male vocals! Chris does an outstanding job with this one (as usual lol) and all I know about Walker is that he's from Hollywood CA and that this song got to #29 on the dance charts. I wish he's do more stuff! I love his voice!!**

Tony Moran/Junior Vasquez Story & Some Edits!

So I thought I'd pull this story over to this blog from the one I used to write (not about dance music) on my MySpace page.

Tony Moran is going to be DJing in DC at Town on August 9th and I am NOT missing it!! This story is the one I wrote after to going out for my birthday in 2006. I went to see Junior Vasquez at Cielo and then later that night went to Alegria (at Crobar) to see Tony.

This is exactly why I can't wait to see him again!!

Feb 2006

If Music Is Your Life, Just Keep On Dancing...

We're gonna turn this party out!
Turn it! Uh huh!
We're gonna burn this party down
In Alegria!
I'm gonna wear your body out!
Shake it! Shake it up!
Cause it don't happen, happen everyday
Give it up for Alegria!

Been waiting for tonight

I wanna see some hands in the sky!
Raise em high!
Lift em up!
Keep em up!
Well alright!
I wanna see some hands in the sky!
Raise em high!
Lift em up!
Lift em up!!

It's tonight!
Can you feel it?!

Alegria

Been waiting for tonight
For Alegria...
- Tony Moran & Ric Sena feat Zhana Saunders - "Waiting For Alegria"

I'm sitting here right now, trying to reflect on what exactly went on last night. My mind is still blown.

To try and pay tribute to my night seems almost trite. How can I really put into words what can only be described as a full body experience?

For those of you who aren't avid house-heads like me, think about the band you love the most and seeing them in an incredible venue with an amazing sound system, playing all of your favorite songs and sounding like sheer perfection. That's the closest thing I can come to for an explanation.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let me start at the beginning.

It's around 8:30 and I'm driving to pick up my friend Bobby. Originally we were going to take the ferry in and whatnot, but I veto-ed that idea when I felt just how cold it was and knowing how spoiled I am with my car, I knew driving in was my only option.

I knew that tonight was going to be special for a few reasons:

1) This starts my birthday week celebration (Haha!)
2) I was going to see Junior Vasquez (ALWAYS a good time!)
3) I was going to see Tony Moran @ Alegria (I had never heard him spin and had never been to an Alegria party as yet.)
4) I was going with a good group of my boys (Bobby, Billy & his friend Kevin)

To say I was pumped up about all this is a real understatement.

After we got to Billy's apartment and had a few drinks, we were on our way to Cielo to see Her Royal Highness, Junior Vasquez.

We got inside and it was MOBBED to say the least! There were people everywhere! Now, Cielo isn't a huge place and it usually plays house to some of the more disco/funky house DJ's like Little Louie Vega and such so I knew that I would be in for a different kind of Junior. However, any kind of Junior is alright by me.

As I had suspected, he kept things pretty funky for the majority of the night. The highlight for me was when he threw in "Nothingness" by Karmadelic feat Sandy B. Billy and I had just about freaked! Haha!

No matter what kind of music that man plays though, there's a story you can sense. It's a journey. There's an undercurrent of artistry there that you just don't get with alot of DJ's and when you're hearing a song that's been remixed or produced by Junior, you know it. Everything has it's place and the place is perfect. Being such a Junior freak, you'll think I'm biased and maybe I am, but that's what made my night so great!

The only downfall to the evening was that Cielo was having problems with it's air conditioning and the place was like a turkish sauna. 100's of people packed into a small venue and it was sweltering.

Side note: I spent most of the night dancing next to a very messy Carson Kressley from Queer Eye From The Straight Guy. Let me tell you--It's amazing the things TV make-up can do! Yikes!

Some more highlights for me was hearing Junior's mixes of Beyonce's "Check On It", Pink's "Stupid Girl" & Vernessa Mitchell's "Love Will Find A Way". At around 1:30 though, I just couldn't take the heat anymore. I had been dancing non-stop and was dripping wet.

So back in the car we went and headed to Crobar.

Now, as I've said, I had never heard Tony Moran spin before. I've always loved his productions and mixes but sometimes DJ's can be a real let down when you get them behind the turntables (::cough::peterrauhofer::cough cough::). I had very high expectations though, aside from the $60 cover charge! Truth be told, I would've paid $100.

For me, and maybe this is strange, it takes more than just a good DJ to make a good event.

Yes, the DJ is the main part, but everyone involved needs to be going for the same goal and that means bouncers, coat check people, bathroom attendants, bartenders, ID checkers, security...etc... (Et Cetra! LoL Billy!!)

And from the get-go, everyone was respectful and very friendly. Always a good sign.

The first thing I was hit with was just HOW many people were there. I've never seen a space of that size inhabited by THAT many people before!!

First track as we walked in: "El Tigre" (Deep Influence Mix)

We all battled the crowd and made our way to the front right side of the stage and started dancing. The energy in the room was high and the music was as big room as it could be. Besides, in NY, there aren't many rooms bigger than Crobar, if any.

What happened next was nothing short of magical. So much in fact that it's hard to put it down into words.

But I'll try.

Let me start with a very bold statement: Never in all the years of my clubbing have I ever heard a DJ mix an entire evening of music so flawlessly.
Any expectations I had for this evening were met and then surpassed with ease.

Tony had his hand on the pulse of the event and over and over again kept jolting you with music that you could NOT stand still to, even in such small confines of dancing space.

One of my favorite things to see when I'm out is when you look into the crowd and everyone has their hands up in the air, singing along or just freaking out to the same thing you are. In an abstract way it's like being part of a huge family. You're all there for the same reason. Everyone wants to have a good time and everyone is doing their best to enhance their experience.

Tony Moran was the Mama and the lighting guy was the Papa. Haha!

It's hard to breakdown the night into highlights because every single song, even if I didn't know it, was incredible! Adjective's do it NO justice.

From what I can remember though:

Rosabel - "Rhythm Intoxication", Mariah Carey - "Don't Forget About Us" (Yeah, I freaked out to this one), Offer Nissim feat Maya - On My Own (Freaking out again!), Kim English - It Makes A Difference (Dub & Club Mix--The Dub was outstanding!)

But the piece de resistance for me was Tony's 2006 Re-Do of Mary J Blige's "Your Child". For anyone who knows this song, you know the Junior Vasquez mix. Junior's mix is and was still great but I have to say (and you know this is serious!), Tony's mix made me say "Junior who???". He completely ripped through that song like nothing I've heard in my life!!! I almost danced to the entire song with my hand covering my mouth because I just couldn't believe what I was hearing!!!

Then Alegria favorite, Zhana Saunders, came on stage to perform her new Alegria song, "Cafe Con Alegria". She looked and sounded amazing!!
Just then, the released about 2 tons of confetti! There is no way to describe what it looked like, felt like, sounded like...am I becoming redundant yet?? lol

They also released napkins from the ceiling to wipe yourself off with, which I thought was an awesome idea, albeit illegal (Thanks Billy! lol).

Even now, I have so many memories and recollections going through my mind it's hard to think about it all and get it all down here.

Somewhere around 7AM Bobby and I left and we made the LONGEST journey home of our lives haha!

My birthday is actually this Friday, but this is the weeklong celebration and I can't imagine a better way to start it off!

I hope that you can get some kind of incling what it was like. I'm officially addicted to Alegria and Tony Moran. It was a complete re-affirmation of why I love this music and why I love this lifestyle.

Tony Moran, you are a God among men. Alegria was just a mere love song from you to us and we all felt loved.

And until next time I'll be waiting for that night...For Alegria...

Till Then,
John Michael

I'm literally counting down the days!!!!

Celine Dion - To Love You More (Tony Moran Crossover Edit) **Official Edit**
**GAG! I love this song!! Why isn't Tony doing all her new stuff!!?? Tell me it wouldn't be sick to hear a Tony produced mix of Celine doing "Alone"? ::sigh:: I can dream!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?rmc0y32jjm8

Nomad - With You (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another classic by Junior!! This takes me right back to Twilo! Incredible track here!! It's almost like Junior does trance!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?yrnmt1vfmyv

Katharine McPhee - Love Story (Tony Moran & Waren Rigg Soul Banger Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I don't know why this popped up recently because this single was released awhile ago but I am glad it did! I enjoyed the original version, but wow! Tony & Warren really brought it home on this one!! The beats are pretty big and this wouldn't be out of place at an Alegria party at all!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?q2m0mmm34lz

RuPaul - Workout (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**This was such a great cover for Ru to take on. Originally done by Frankie Knuckles in 1993, RuPaul definitely breathed new life into this classic and made it his own. Junior went a step further and gave a good production with some beat tricks, keeping the focus on the vocals and not over powering them.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?kmhngcmzw7f

Wendy Phillips - Stay (Tony Moran Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This British singer saw only one release here and this was it. Produced (and written) by Tony Moran and featuring mixes by Airscape & Mike Rizzo among others, this track is a fun pop dance song. Wendy's voice is very cute and the whole mix has a very easy breezy feel to it!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ymzymbkxjmn

Tenth Planet - Ghosts (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was another Twilo song and I love how Junior tackles these types of trance vocals. It's a sound that's all his own and yet it works on so many levels. I really am such a Juniorhead haha!! I totally drank the kool aid! At any rate, this was a special request, so I hope you enjoy it!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?namdjnmhc2g

Tweet - Oops (Oh My) (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**I had ALOT of fun with this one. This has to be one of the darkest and strangest Junior mixes I own. It's SO dark! It reminds me of a Dynamix Dub. Everything about this mix is interesting tho. It's a wild and sexy ride through Tweet's masturbation station so hop aboard!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mj1nzw0lucm

Something that was interesting to me...(Top 10)

So, one of the benefits of using Mediafire when I share these files is that it tallies how many times each song is downloaded so I can see what most of my readers are feeling and what they're not.

So I thought I would share with you, what you all have been downloading. Maybe get some reccommendations from it or maybe you missed it, but here is the Top 10 as of right now!

10) Chris Brown - With You (JM's Tracy Young Radio Edit)

So I just let the speakers speak to me. Vibrations movin' on the floor all around ...

Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted (JM's Wideboys Radio Edit)
**I feel like Basshunter just popped up and is now all over the place. Up until very recently, I had never heard of him and now I see his music on blogs everywhere. I have to admit, I do have a love for the faster, harder trance type songs as well, but I have to be in the mood. His CD all in all is pretty fabulous tho! This is the second single from his "Now You're Gone" CD and the Wideboys made this song alot more accessible to the mainstream who's hearts cant handle beats over 145 lol. The Wideboys might be one of the best remixers of 2008. Brilliant and so much fun here!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?dxdxpxyydj9

Carillo & Amador feat Ronnie Sumrall - Save Me (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I found this song randomly on a blog and I'm guessing that the Amador in this team is Eddie Amador? Does anyone know for sure? Either way, this is a slick male vocal with a nice electro production by Carillo & Amador. Good for early evening music or early morning...depending on how you're looking at it lol...**
http://www.mediafire.com/?qgy1qgtxdma

Erin Hamilton - Control Yourself (JM's Lenny B Radio Edit)
**Diva Erin Hamilton is BACK! After a hiatus, Solar City's golden girl who gave us the classics "The Flame" (which just saw 2008 mixes) and her cover of "Dreamweaver", returns with an awesome vocal anthem! There's been oodles of mixes of this but this is the one I've gravitated towards the most so far. Is it just be or does she sound...blacker...now? Like she picked up some serious soul in her voice. It was great before but she sounds amazing now!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?djwmrdmzmvj

Jim Verraros - You're Getting Crazy (L.E.X. Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I posted an edit I did for the Mike Cruz mix and then I stumbled across this official edit from LEX who's productions never dissappoint. Dark and progressive, they take this song on with awesome results!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?nbmxnmdhdcg

Jody Watley - I Want Your Love (JM's Wideboys Edit)
**Jody Watley??!! Yeah, I can't believe it either! I know she's been recording still but I haven't really gotten into some of her stuff (I didn't enjoy her Madonna "Borderline" cover that much) but NOW? Well clutch the pearls because Miss Jody is back with a stunning cover of this 70's classic, originally done by Chic! This is sure to not dissappoint! Incredible vocals from Jody and a really fun mix from The Wideboys once again!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?m4yp0tj2lle

Kurtis Mantronik feat Kelly Marie Smith - I Can't Wait (JM's Radio Mix)
**Speaking of covers, let me introduce you to my new favorite cover of 2008. This was one of my favorite 45's (I'm dating myself here! lol) growing up and I still have it! I looooooooooved this song when originally done by Nu Shooz in the 80's and now? Well, this one will speak for itself. The production is to die for!! We also have a great vocal here from Kelly Marie Smith (former vocalist with The Shapeshifters) who hits this remake dead on! MUST HAVE!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?lx2bziqmfmg

Maroon 5 & Rihanna - If I Never See Your Face Again (Expensive People Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Holy electro Batman!! Hah! I was only eh about the original song, even though I do enjoy both artists alot. Maroon 5 has alot of soul and great pop sensibilities which is why alot of their songs do well on the dancefloor and this one is no different. NOW I'm loving this song! I don't know who the Expensive People are but they did an excellent electro-rock mix here that just screams fun!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ljlyvorn9mb

Michelle Williams - We Break The Dawn (JM's Wideboys Radio Edit)
**Michelle always seemed like the forgotten one in Destiny's Child. She only sang the bridges of the songs mosts times and when she went solo and did the gospel thing, it was only so-so. Well, that's all changed!! I can't wait for her CD as every song I've heard that's leaked is fantastic including this sleeper hit. Currently, it's #1 on the dance charts but hasn't charted anywhere else. I expect very big things from her and The Wideboys, AGAIN, do magic to this track. They are HOT!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?kmcoxeetbtb

Rob Mirage - Forever (JM's Midnight Society Radio Edit)
**This song is EXPLOSIVE!! A very dark and progressive male vocal with BIG beats and almost ALL synths! This song is MADE of synths and it works SOOOO well! This song definitely grows on you, if for no other reason then for the production.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?t2zmwzoqvyl

Shannon - Something About You (JM's Eddie Baez Radio Edit)
**When 80's diva Shannon had her mini-resurgence back in 2000 with the Hex Hector remix of "Give Me Tonight", I figured we were welcoming back a dance diva to the floor. Where did we go wrong?? After the #1 success of "Give Me Tonight", she released 2008 mixes of "Let The Music Play" which only hit #32 which is interesting cause originally in the 80's "Let The Music Play was a #8 song for her whereas "Give Me Tonight" stalled at #46. At any rate, Shannon released her 4th studio CD "The Best Is Yet To Come" and her original producer, Chris Barbosa was asked to rejoin her as was Tony Moran. Aside from her two classics, two more songs from the CD were remixed, this one by Eddie Baez who did a fantastic job and "Intimate" which was taken on by Plasmic Honey. She sounds just as god as she did then and needs to come back...er...again!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?bf5ylj9g0oy

Supanova - No Secrets (JM's Escape & Dom Capello Radio Edit)
**This is another random song I found in my surfing and while it's different, I do like it. It's a little more minimal and darker than what you'd expect from Escape & Capello, but it works very well as an afterhours track. Another good male vocal here!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?flugm24m1mj

The Ting Tings - Great DJ (Soul Seekerz Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Wow, the Soul Seekerz finally produced a good mix?! Hard to believe huh! Ok, I'm obviously being sarcastic here lol...Can they do any wrong?? The Ting Ting's first single here gets a good working over by my other favorite remixing team of 2008 and it's fabu! Naturally!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?xynvwtemxmd

Whitney Houston - Fine (JM's Rob Girellini Radio Mix)
**This song, the fourth single from her "Whitney: The Greatest Hits" CD only found Whit at #51 on the charts, but there were two very good remixes that popped up along the way, one by Junior Vasquez and this one by Rob Girellini. I don't know much about Rob but that the few mixes of his I've heard I've liked. This one is a really high energy mix which results in Whitney losing it around 2:45 and throughout to the rest of the song. How many times do you think she says the word "Fine" in this song? lol**

Guido Osorio

Most of you know Guido Osorio from being one half of Razor N Guido, but what happened after they split?
I've always been a fan of RNG but I have to say that Guido's solo stuff is just as good if not better! The thing I love is that his sound is different than everyone elses. It's more industrial and dirtier. His precision is always on point and he knows how to hit the song hard where it needs it!

So here's some edits to keep you on your toes when it comes to the solo efforts of this amazing remixer!

Amber - The Need To Be Naked (JM's Guido Osorio Virgin Radio Edit)
**I loved Thunderpuss' mix for this song, but this is the one to beat. Guido did two mixes for this, a "Naughty" mix and a "Virgin" one. Both are excellent but I enjoy this one better. I love the mini build ups before each chorus and the vocal effects are top notch!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?fcb3eddy90d

Angie Stone - Bottles & Cans (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Edit)
**Most people know Angie from her #1 dance smash "I Wish I Didn't Miss You" which was the second single from her 2001 CD "Mahogany Soul" but this track, single number 4, was widely overlooked in my opinion. This one only hit #18 on the dance charts, which is still respectable and Guido's mix is really amazing! I love how he added all the recycling noises as well!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?tibk9tucykw

Colton Ford - Everything (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Mix)
**I've just posted the Solar City edit of this which was the original production but this is way superior to that. On this one, we get some new ad libs and vocals from Colton (and from what sounds like a Speak N Spell lol) and in a way Guido made this song a little safer. The original one had some nastier elements which are nice in a novelty kinda way, reflecting on Colton's porn past, but this mix makes him sound more like a legitimate dance artist.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?fj3nm9dyqb3

Cyndi Lauper - Disco Inferno 2002 (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Mix)
**I was very surprised at this cover that Cyndi did for 1999's "A Night At The Roxbury" soundtrack and then having it pop up again in 2002 getting the Guido treatment which it obviously needed! Removing all the disco elements from it, Guido made this mix very current and Cyndi's vocals are awesome and funny at the same time. Check it out and you'll see what I mean!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?tj4dk2dj0lw

Deborah Cox - Stupid Like U (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Edit)
**Guido was one of the many DJ's who got ahold of this accapella and while I do prefer Junior's & Popstar's mixes more, this mix is definitely worth giving a spin. He kept it rough around the edges and had this have seen a proper release this would've been a smash for sure!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?uegwx0nk04m

DJ Disciple feat Mia Cox - Caught Up (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Edit)
**This song and this mix both put NJ singer/songwriter Mia Cox into the Queer As Folk legacy, being used both in the show and on their soundtrack CD. Not only that but this song went straight to #1 on the club charts as well. Listening to this mix it's easy to see why!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?20odyzcxng3

Guido Osorio feat Alan T - Tweak It (JM's Maximum Radio Edit)
**This song ended up on Razor N Guido's only full length CD (which is incredible Btw if you can get it!) "Dancefloor" and I fell in love with it instantly. Once again Alan T is here to give you the bitchiness that he's known for and Guido really gets to shine here as the producer providing all kinds of this from stabbing synths, beat changes and much more!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?429dciybtmg

Guido Osorio Project feat Angelica De No - Runaway (JM's Radio Mix)
**Angelica de No broke into the scene when she teamed up with Guido and recorded two songs ("Wicked" and this one, "Runaway") which quickly became international hits in club land. This track also made its way onto the very popular White Party 2002 CD compilation mixed by circuit DJ Brett Henrichsen on Masterbeat Records. Again, left to his own devices, Guido pulls all the stops out for this one providing and incredible mix that could easily be thrown into any set today!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?aw3z4mlrb59

Shania Twain - It's Alright (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Mix)
**I know I've posted this one before, but again, this is my all time favorite Guido mix. He took Shania completely out of her element here and gave us a high energy diva vocal anthem!! The album it comes from, T
he Complete Limelight Sessions, was released 2001 and is a collection of songs recorded before she signed a record deal with her label in 1993. The album was released following the massive success of her chart topping CD "Come on Over". The album was promoted by this remix and it has the distinction of being Shania's only song to chart on the dance charts (reaching #25).**
http://www.mediafire.com/?wshhql0nyi4

Taylor Dayne - How Many (JM's Guido Osorio Radio Edit)
**Another Tony Moran song I have postd previously, but again--This is defintely the best mix! Taylor's voice and this mix work perfectly and while I do believe she can sing anything, I believe he can remix anything as well! That must be why this earned Taylor another top 10 song on the dance charts when this one went to #6!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?jl4dwn4gjny

Bonus Edit: I had to put this one on here! This mix is incredible from start to stop! He took a classic song by this artist and made his own Secret mix for it. I'm sure it's just Human Nature for him to do so, but he should Take A Bow because he deserves to be commended for his amazing work! The breakdown to the hip hop beat in this one makes me gag!

Junior Vasquez (Part Four)

I think it's time to add another remixer to the fold here. It's been alot of Junior, TP & Hex and while there's more where all this came from, Im gonna throw someone else into this and see how it goes lol...

Who? I dunno yet...We'll see what I've got at my fingertips! :-)

Ace Of Base - Beautiful Life (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**We all loved Ace of Base. It's time to come clean and admit it. We all saw the sign and we wanted to live the beautiful life. Well, those swedes were so darn happy about everything, Junior couldn't resist and gives us alot more of the same!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ymyt3k1pehf

Alcazar - Don't You Want Me (JM's Junior Vasquez Earth Radio Edit)
**Another Swedish act gets the Junior treatment, but this time it's much darker. This is indeed a cover of 80's classic by Human League and it's never sounded better! Junior pulls the bottom out so to speak, and goes for a strong mix that keeps chugging along and the really uplifiting vocals paired with Junior's darker undertones works very well together.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?tz4snm9ndmr

Angel Moraes - I Like It (JM's Junior Vasquez Earth Radio Edit)
**Firstly, does anyone know who the vocalist is here? I love this song!! I've always said that some of his most interesting work has come from the Earth era and this is a prime example. It's a big diva anthem that has a dark but sexy production here from Junior which is perfect for the clubs, or in front of your mirror at home.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?qyz0pmumxqe

Christina Aguilera - Beautiful (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Ripped Edit)
**If anyone has a better quality version of this, I would be thrilled! I ripped this one from one of Junior's mixshows and I must admit, I like this one (shockingly lol) better than Peter's. I do love Peter's alot, I thought it was a great mix and all, but this one really just blows it out of the water for me!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?zdcg1bzckln

Dynamix feat Nina Eve - Never Get Me (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I love the original of this and this is one of the few songs that I prefer a mix other than Junior's. I never really got into it and then I heard him play it one night and when you're there, at the club, this works very well. When I'm at home, in the shower, at the gym or in my car, it's the Dynamix one for me lol.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mtoojgmr1fb

Hypertrophy - Beautiful Day (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**This was a big Juniorverse song and one of my favorite non-vocals. It's very indicative of it's time (1998) and I've always loved this side of Junior. I wish there was more of this kinda stuff!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?h2bybcxm5zm

kd Lang - If I Were You (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**kd relelased this as the lead single from her 1995 "All You Can Eat" CD and while the song got to #115 on the hot 100 (yikes!), on the dance charts it went straight to #1!! kd has such a smooth voice and Junior compliments her perfectly with an uplifting mix that isn't overpowering.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ytznnnxjn3l

Kristine W - Stronger (JM's Junior Vasquez Mixshow Edit)
**This is a masterpiece through and through which made it hard for me to cut at. Johnny Vicious did a cute mix too but this mix just grabs onto the emotion of the song and rides it till the wheels fall off!! Kristine + Junior = Perfect Together.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?y9oh0wmppns

Mary J Blige - Your Child (JM's Junior Vasquez Extended Radio Mix)
**Another classic Junior. I remember reading a magazine about how he only did a demo of this mix and it got leaked or picked up somehow and everyone loved it and started playing it. I wanna say I also remember him saying that this wasn't even a favorite of his! Can you imagine? This mix is sheer genius!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ndbmbzibvtc

Nomad - I Wonder (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I loved Nomad's "With You" (Junior edit to follow) and then I was excited to hear this song and I find out...it's almost identical to "With You" lol...So yes, this is a good mix...in that "If you loved "With You" then you'll ADORE "I Wonder" " kinda way lol**
http://www.mediafire.com/?lrjjdhsgbym

Hex Hector (Part Two)

Hey everyone! I hate to say this but the Offer post is getting a little delayed this week. I had surgery over the weekend (minor--I'm ok!) and when I left NY to come to NJ for my recovery with my hubby, I left my Offer CD's at home like an idiot!! So I probably won't be able to get to that till either late this week or early next week.

Till then I have some Hex stuff, more Junior stuff and then some random stuff which I hope you'll all enjoy!!

These are some of my favorite Hex tracks! The productions really speak for themselves!

Amber - Yes (JM's HQ2 Radio Edit)
**I've posted this one before but this is probably my all time favorite Amber song! I've always loved the middle eastern sound and Hex does alot here what he later did for Sarah Brightman's "Harem" track. The drum loops are out of control and of course there's some amazing synth work done as well, this time all courtesy of Mac Quayle. Amber actually took pieces of a James Joyce novel for some of the lyrics which work incredibly well with the tone of the song. I love when this song comes on cause everyone on the dancefloor always clutches their boobs when Amber sings "I put my arms around him, yes. And drew him down to me so he could feel my breasts..." and it makes me giggle lol...Im just as guilty!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mtitjtg2s9v

Celeste Prince - Inside Your Secret (JM's Hex Hector Radio Mix)
**This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful productions to come out of Hex's camp. The vocal & lyrics from Celeste here are just gorgeous from start to finish and it all earned Celeste the #5 spot on the dance charts. I can't say enough about this song. Highly reccommended!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?hgiye0xojti

Mandy Moore - In My Pocket (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Hex's take on the Mandy Moore smash which is widely different from the T-Puss one I've posted. Hex's is a little bit more chilled out with some nice acoustic guitar work from Mac Quayle once again.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ingrwnmqtyd

Mika - Relax (Take It Easy) (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**While the Tony Moran mix of this is for me the definitive, Hex put together a great mix for this as well with a similar production style to that of the Celeste Prince mix. Tony's is really punchy and just comes right out for you and Hex's does what the title says "takes it easy" here with something a little smoother.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?z9dhpo15wfz

Ricky Martin - She Bangs (JM's Hex Hector Radio Edit)
**I don't care what anyone says, this mix is amazing!! I would've never guessed that Hex would've produced such a slamming mix for a Ricky Martin song but the stabbing synths here are such a driving force here, you can't help but be wowed by it!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?jexxwz4tyig

Ricky Martin feat Loleatta Holloway - Relight My Fire (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Ok, so how exactly did this one happen? I'm not so sure. A promo vinyl labeled as "Martin feat Loleatta Holloway" started circulating and as soon as I heard it I knew it was my Ricky (sorry, he's SO hot tho!). And yes, this IS a cover of the disco song originally done by Dan Hartman and this is a heavy song to cover. The original is a classic, but I think that Ricky, Loleatta, Hex & Mac nailed it here! They kept with the original one and updated it in such a way that it makes it a new classic! This is definitely one of the gayest things to come from Ricky and Loleatta's wailing all over it just solidifies that! I say g'ahead Mary!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ybyz2xwngt2

Thalia feat Marc Anthony - The Mexican (Dance Dance) (JM's Hex Hector Mixshow Edit)
**This was such a great idea here!! I've always been a sucker for songs that are about dancing and sampling Jellybean's "The Mexican" (which is one of my favorite freestyle songs) and having backup vocals from Marc Anthony, gave this song all the energy it needed! Add Hex to the mix and you have a latino dance anthem for the masses!**

Thunderpuss (Part Three)

The more I dig, the more I find lol... That's one of my favorite things about this blog. The more I post and the more I get to interact with you all out there, I remember songs I haven't heard in forever and get to relive it all again!!

Thank you all so much for your love and support of this blog!! I can only hope that you continue to read and enjoy all of this great music!! :-)

Abigail - Let The Joy Rise (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I've always been such a huge fan of this song. Abigail started out over seas doing really cheesy dance cover versions of pop songs for Klone records (including kd Lang's "Constant Craving" which is actually pretty good). This song was Abigail's first venture as a solo dance artist with original material. There's not much better than when Thunderpuss takes on an uplifiting anthem track! And this 1998 one is one of their best!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?oxm49w0xei0

Amber - Above The Clouds (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When this song came out, Amber was untouchable and this song quickly became one of her biggest! So much so that this song was even featured in the final episode of "Sex and The City"! While almost all of the mixes were great from Jonathan Peters, The Berman Brothers, Thunderpuss & Sal Dano & Brian K, Thunderpuss' was just a LITTLE bit better than the others. It has mainstream sensibilities but works great in clubs as well. The Sal Dano & Brian K running a very close second (and they provided a SICK Dub as well!).**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mj03ibsm5mm

Britney Spears - Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Both Thunderpuss & Hex Hector turned out incredible mixes for this song! Hex went the Dezrok route with a slick production and dreamy synths that focus on the songs original beauty. Thunderpuss took a harder route with punchier synths but both Hex & Thunderpuss did something amazing here: They (at least for me) took a ballad and made a dance version out of it which is better than the original. I prefer this song as a dance song much more than a ballad. Written by Shania Twain (who also does backup vocals for the song) and her ex-husband Robert "Mutt" Lange, the songs melody just feels so at home on the dancefloor!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mskcexajzrx

Brooke Allison - The Kiss Off (Goodbye) (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Brooke Allison had a minor hit with this song in 2001 and it actually peaked at #28 on the hot singles sales chart. Since this song and her debut album she went on to do some work for Disney but that's about it from her! Thunderpuss really takes this song on with a vengance. The original is a very cheesy pop song that uses the AOL "Goodbye" sample in it which now in Thunderpuss' version sounds quirkier but it works very well. This also has some killers synths and hits all over the place...along with some great vocal effects.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?etmugww3x9x

Enrique Iglasias - Be With You (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Ahhhh...The other side of Thunderpuss! Around this time in 2000, Thunderpuss' sound started to take a different direction. The beats were faster and smoother and the synths were dreamier and trance like as can be heard in this mix as well as their Lara Fabian "I Will Love Again" mix which I'll post another time. You can also see though that just because the main part of their mix sounds a little different, they still know how to make a wicked build up!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?yz1jjztxfzj

Gloria Estefan - Out Of Nowhere (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**After Gloria hit big with her "Gloria!" cd which was full of club mixes galore, she released a Greatest Hits Vol 2 CD and this was one of the 4 new tracks on the CD's. Peaking at #6 on the dance charts, it even recieved a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording (losting to Janet Jackson's "All For You"). With remixes by Boris & Beck, Metro, Obadam, Vito Andolini & Thunderpuss the CD release was packed with options. Mine was obviously Thunderpuss lol...Boris & Beck and Metro produced some cute mixes as well, but Thunderpuss takes this where it needs to be and seemed to be the next logical choice after all the mixes from her last CD.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?z1bikhx1nsc

Thunderpuss feat Jocelyn Enriquez - So Fierce, So Fabulous (Freak Out) (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**I've heard some really gay music in my day and THIS is right up there! Thunderpuss joins forces with dance music favorite for this fierce and fabulous song which samples Chic's "Le Freak" all throughout. It's big, it's loud, it's here and proud! Blast it boys!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vgtbxiry3yt

LeAnn Rimes - Tic Toc (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Quite possibly the best of all the LeAnn mixes out there!! LeAnn wants it and she wants it now!!! She's isn't holding any punches back on this song which has her moaning and singing about her screwing her brains out. The most genius part is of course the build up where LeAnn is literally climaxing which has her singing "A little to the left. A little to the right. A little bit longer, all the way tonight. I close my eyes, my body tenses. Boy you're touchin all my senses. Don't stop, c'mon, I'm almost there...". GAG!!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?twum03zuejf

Luther Vandross - Can Heaven Wait (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Now we all know that Luther had one of the finest voices in R&B but I gotta be honest when I say I don't know what was going on here. This seems like one of the biggest 'message songs' ever. Listen to the lyrics and you'll see what I mean. I've heard Luther's mixes before and some of them have been good and while Thunderpuss put out a great mix and gave the song energy with the few powerful notes Luther has in this song, I don't know if I really enjoy this one as a vocal mix. As a dub, the mix is great!! Luther's vocal just doesn't really do that much for me here and I feel that his typical smooth delivery is a little lost sometimes.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vymctlbkyz2

Mandy Moore - In My Pocket (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another underrated artist here! I love Mandy so much! This was a great single for her as it already had a dance beat (which came with a hot video as well), I was overjoyed when Thunderpuss took to it!! Like with their mix for Janet's "All For You", this has some really good vocal effects here and a hard hitting mix (with two build ups!!) that you can't help but move to!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mlt3hgtdtnr

Mary J Blige - No More Drama (JM's Dramatic Thunderpuss Mixshow Edit)
**This one is near impossible to cut--so I didn't! All I basically did here was start the track from the R&B section to the all out dance mix and then clipped it at the end with a cute ending. This is another "Forever Gag" because I just can't imagine producing something this intense. So top 3!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?owtmtmujwgz

Play - I Must Not Chase The Boys (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Now I admit that when I was growing up, I was totally sucked into the pop music craze that started with Britney and I was all about the style and all the lesser known artists that went with it. I found girl group Play's first single "Us Against The World" which was I thought was so cute (and even had mixes by Andy & The Lamboy) and I figured they'd be a flash in the pan. Well, they are no longer together, but along the way they did make some interesting waves. This song firstly was a great song for Thunderpuss to take on. Obviously a tween boy chasing anthem, Thunderpuss makes the song seem a little more mature and coquettish and even a little bit naughty. The title track of their 2004 CD "Don't Stop The Music" was originally written and recorded by fellow Swede Robyn ("Who's That Girl" & "Handle Me"). They also had a long term endorsement for the Limited Too clothing store and were featured on the soundtrack for Disney's 20th anniversary edition of "Annie".**

Spice Girls - Tell Me Why (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**We all know what was going on here! Geri (Ginger Spice) Halliwell quit the group and the scandal took over the world! What were they gonna do now!!?? Well, aside from having her face X-ed out all over, they put out this song, which say what you will, is CLEARLY about Geri. While Mel C was usually co-writing most of the Spice Girls music, she was working on a solo CD and this was mainly written by Mel B & Victoria who had the distinction of having the opening vocals on this song (something she had never done before). This was supposed to have been another single from their "Forever" CD but due to the poor sales of the other singles "Goodbye" & "Holler", it never saw release. Promo's started circulating around though with mixes by Thunderpuss and Jonathan Peters and the song did very well as a club hit. The Jonathan Peters edit was included on the girls latest Greatest Hits cd as a bonus track.**

Thunderpuss feat Chris Barnes - Head (JM's Chris Cox Radio Edit)
**By far a very different venture from Thunderpuss here and while it's listed as Thunderpuss, this time we have Chris Cox doing the bulk of the work. Mostly a spoken word vocal and a strange one at that, you can hear Chris Cox starting to form his own sound here and it wasn't long after this that Thunderpuss started nearing it's end.**

Whitney Houston - My Love Is Your Love (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of the rare Thunderpuss mixes I don't really care for. They did an ok job but I feel it lacks a general energy that most of their mixes have. There are some nice elements, mainly the vocal effects used, but Jonathan Peters owned this song in the end.**

Junior Vasquez (Part Three)

The Offer Nissim post is on the way everyone!!
But meanwhile back at the Junior ranch...
Alicia Keys - Girlfriend (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When Alicia released her debut CD "Songs In A Minor", it was an immediate success and remixers had a new voice to add to the dancefloor. The 4th single from Alicia here didn't really do that well on the US charts, stalling at #82 on the R&B chart and failing to even make it to the hot 100. However, Junior took charge and made a fun dance version with a really solid production. Not exactly an anthem, but great in it's own right.**
Amber - This Is Your Night (JM's Junior Vasquez Extended Radio Mix)
**Back in 1996 when Amber released her debut CD of the same name, it seemed she could do no wrong. This Euro-NRG CD was wildly successful, selling an estimated 4 million copies. Amber also became the first Euro-NRG artist to be signed to a label as a solo artist. While only peaking at #24 on the US charts, it became an instant classic throughout the world. Having Junior take this song on was brilliant and the mix he put together is stunning! It's got a great energy and some stellar keyboarding work. This one is sure to take you back! I can't believe this song came out 12 years ago!!!! God, I'm old! lol**
Annie Lennox - No More I Love You's (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I'm sorry, but there is nothing better than the lyric "Dubba dubba dub dub dub...AHHH!"! This lead single from Annie's 2x platinum CD "Medusa" peaked only at #23 on the US charts, but the remix hit #1! Junior's idea here was genius, taking 3 songs (No More I Love You's, Downtown Lights & Take Me To The River) from Annie's CD and making a medley of them for one remix. The result is, of course, fabulous!**
Blu Cantrell - (Oops!) Hit Em Up Style (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Blu Cantrell has such an incredible voice and while there's been talks for more music from her (including a leaked cover version of One Republic's "Apologize"), I'm still holding out. This smash debut single earned Blu the #2 spot on the US charts and I had never really entertained the idea for a remix on this one. The phrasing and timing seemed like it would be too difficult, but alas, Junior said--Fuck that! Hah! With a low BPM and some really interesting synth work, he kept the original punch of the song as Blu tells her man to piss off!!**
Charlotte - Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (Junior Vasquez Soular Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is another great example of what a remixer really can do with a song. If you know the original Junior mix (which was brilliant) then this one will definitely make for a nice change. This one really blends Junior's style with the Moto Blanco style mixes you hear now. I'll post the original one soon cause that one is incredible but for now, something funkier.**
Information Society - What's On Your Mind (JM's Junior Vasquez Mixshow Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**The 80's classic gets a sick update from the master and it's completely irresistable! What I love about this (which I had to include in here) is the breakdown where he actually goes back into the original and then back to the remix again! So brilliant!!**
Irene Cara - All My Heart (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**We all know Miss Cara from her 80's classics "Fame" and "Flashdance...What A Feeling!" but what happened after?? Well, she never really stopped performing throughout Europe and Asia and in the 90's had several successful non-US charts. This song, from 1997 was from a little known CD of Euro dance songs called "Precarious 90's", and it made it's way here into Junior's lap! He made the song a really uplifiting anthem, perfect for any summer party! Definitely worth checking out! In 2006, Cara also contributed a song called "Forever My Love" to the CD "Gay Happening Vol 12".**
Kim English - Higher Things (Junior Vasquez House Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was the other half of the duel CD single "Diva 2 Diva" which paired this song with the aforementioned Charlotte "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark". This time, Junior turns it out with Kim's soaring vocals and makes an incredible diva anthem! Another one not to be missed!**
Kumi Koda - Take Back (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is a very strange one. Now, I love this mix, I really do and the vocal if it were done by an english singer would've been awesome! But Japanese diva Kumi Koda debuted here and did her best by trying to sing the english version of this song. The results aren't TERRIBLE but to be honest, there's alot of it I just don't understand. Im sure that the original english vocal as it was intended (to be an R&B/Pop song) was much easier to understand, but most of the remixes offered here by Junior, Hex Hector and Jonathan Peters make it a little bit tougher to get. There is some incredibly synth work here, especially in the bridge where Kumi sings "Your kind of pleasure took me away to a place I've never been..." (and then the next line I dont know lol). If only for the production, give this one a try!**
Le Click - Call Me (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**This one is really interesting to me. We've seen Junior hit his "La Bouche" phase but then when he takes this song on, he goes the completely different route. Granted, the vocal, even though the original is euro cheese, is a really great vocal by Kayo Shekoni and Junior tried making it a reputable dance track. Did it work? Well, yes it did, but I have to admit, the mix is a little strange. The vocal stands on it's own and Junior's production is good, but you get the full vocal in this mix at the very beginning of the mix and then the last 4 minutes are all vocal loops, samples, buildups and breakdowns and the mix even fades out at the end. Very odd to me! If there is another one out there that doesn't fade out, please send it my way!**
Sabrina Johnston - Tonight (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**Junior favorite Sabrina takes center stage here with this mix that came as a bonus track off her 1998 solo CD "Yum Yum". Sabrina has such incredible power and it really shows here. A much lesser known song by her but really good just the same!**
Whitney Houston - I Learned From The Best (JM's Junior Vasquez Disco Radio Edit)
**I have to admit, I really didn't do much to this at all, except that I took the beginning and end of the full mix and added them to the beginning and the end of the offered radio edit. The only reason why I did it is because there's some clips of Whitney talking and I love stuff like that! Haha! But Junior really gave a great alternative to all the other mixes out there with this one. He even went back into the studio with Whitney for a new vocal to fit this mix!**
Whitney Houston - I Learned From The Best (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This mix is FLAWLESS (which by the way, is rumored to be the title of Whitney's forthcoming CD)!! Hex's was great, don't get me wrong, but THIS one has DRAMA all over it!! I especially love in the full mix where the breakdown uses a vocal loop from Whitney's "Step By Step".**

Thunderpuss (Part Two)

Thunderpuss appears to be quite the popular post right now! I've been getting alot of good feedback from it and Im happy to give you more of their music!
The thing thats great about Thunderpuss also is that they both actually work on the music together...er...they DID I should say. With alot of remixers, they have the ideas but dont really get very hands on, they're DJ's and they've got the creative side down pat (which is absolutely necesary) but when it comes to engineering and programming, they call in the cohorts.
Chris and Barry both did everything from A to Z which could be why they were one of the biggest remixing team ever!!!
Amber - Taste The Tears (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Amber had so much great music that some of it did get lost in the shuffle. Such is the case with this song! Thunderpuss originally did a pop production for it, but naturally they made one dancefloor friendly as well. If you can get the full mix, it's worth it. There's a break in it where the beats stop, Amber laughs and just says 'Drama' and then a you hear a dish breaking noise in it. Gag-worthy!!**
Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Back when Britney was making the move from teen queen to pop royalty, she released this little ditty. It's kinda cheesy (and co-written by Dido strangely enough) but Thunderpuss did what they could with this and if you listen to the vocals, they did ALOT of work on them to make them fit with this mix and Im sure that wasn't easy. Still, I love it! Viva La T-Puss!**
Celine Dion - I Want You To Need Me (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. This may be my favorite Thunderpuss remix ever. From start to finish this mix is just incredible! I love Celine on the dancefloor and this is just a hands in the air diva vocal if I ever heard one!!**
Deni Hines - I Like The Way (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Mix)
**This song is special in that this was the very first Thunderpuss production!! The Australian R&B songstress released this song off her "Imagination" CD in 1996 and now that Chris & Barry had joined forces, they took this on earning their first top 10 dance hit, when this song hit #4 on the US dance charts!**
Enrique Iglasias - Escape (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Latin hottie Enrique Iglasias was riding the high life in 2001 when he released this single from his 2nd English CD also of the same name. Every single of his in Spanish and in English had hit #1 on the US Latin charts (aside from "Be With You" that reached #2) and this would be his second #2 single. Even though he had that mole, he was still hot to me! Haha! My friends and I used to sing "You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my mole!". I know it's mean, but it makes me giggle! Thunderpuss of course riding high as well and this earned them yet another #1 on the US dance charts!**
Kristine W - Clubland (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This one is probably one of Kristine's most fun songs ever! The original had her scatting (get your filthy minds out of the gutter!), be-bopping and blowin her saxophone all over it! Thunderpuss amped the energy up and really gave Kristine something to scat about!! :-P This was only released as a B-side to Kristine's single for "Stronger" and I'll never know why! Both the vocal and the ThunderDUB on this are amazing so check them both out! I also love her lyrics 'Every night you re-invent what you really want to be. He’s a she but we all agree. It’s a party blow your own horn. Down in clubland. Underground in clubland. You want to blow your own horn. It’s alive in clubland. Never dies in clubland. You got to blow your own horn!"**
Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another one of my fave T-Puss edits! The thing that actually dissappointed me on this mix was that the radio edit and the club mix were completely different. The club mix was stripped down with minimal synths and no big breakdown. This edit tho, is synth galore (and lots of cowbell--I. Love. Cowbells!! lol) and the breakdown is killer!!! This mix earned T-Puss and Shakira the #5 spot on the dance charts as well.**
Tamia - Stranger In My House (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When this song came out, I was sure that it would never die!!! Don't get me wrong--Loved the song, really and truly--But between club play and radio play, they beat this song to DEATH!! Now, several years later, I can listen to it again with enthusiasm I had for it the first time. We all knows Hex's mix for this and it was legendary and definitely one of the best of his career, but for me, it was all about the T-Puss mix! The 'pop quiz' breakdown is one of the best that Thunderpuss has ever put together!**
Thunderpuss - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When I first saw this CD and saw the title, I was so confused. I had heard the term Pigbag when talking about football but I didn't exactly see the corrollation. Well, for all those who don't get it--Here's the story: Pigbag was a British post-punk band who formed around 1980. This song, which was born out of a random jam session, became their signature song, the title a play on James Brown's "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag". The song's legacy continues on being played at sports events around the world. I'm not sure why Thunderpuss decided to cover it, but if you get ahold of the original and this one, it really shows just how versatile Thunderpuss was!**
Thunderpuss feat Latanza Waters - Stand Up (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**The Magic Cucumbers' classic which originally featured Jocelyn Brown and Connie Harvey gets an update from Thunderpuss in a major way!! The original was great, but Thunderpuss really took it to the next level here with build ups, vocal effects, hard driving synths and an outstanding vocal from miss Latanza Waters.**
