I know it's been awhile everyone but I started a really crazy schedule after I got back from celebrating my anniversary and 3 days a week I do 12 hour days, so I'm gonna try to do what I can, but it may just take me some time to get stuff up! Thanks for understanding!!

Charlotte Perrelli - Hero (JM's Club Radio Edit)

**She looks like Kristine W and sounds like a love child of Jenna Drey, Danielle Bollinger and Lara Fabian. In her home country of Sweden, this won the 2008 Melodifestivalen (which is the contest that Sweden has to determine who's representing them in the Eurovision song contest) and when she got to the Eurovision contest she placed 18th. In the charts though this went right to #1 in Sweden and was in the top 20 of a few other countries. The song is a great vocal with a very electro, yet Soundfactory type sound to it. I don't know who actually produced this as I got it labeled as "Extended Club Mix" (does anyone know??) but it's a great song all over and needs to be recognized!!**

Chris Brown - Forever (JM's Bobby Bass & J Remy Radio Edit)

**This is definitely one of my new obsession songs (especially after seeing it on So You Think You Can Dance). I have to say, I'm really happy with the direction that pop/R&B music is going these days. They've got great beats with awesome synth work and hooks for days! This song in it's original form was just begging to come to the dance floor and through the work of Bobby Bass & J Remy it got there. Who they are, I'm not sure, but from all the mixes I've heard thus far this is definitely the best. It's got some beat changes and a really uplifiting sound that keeps with the original. In the beginning I added the original intro synths and the "1,2,3,4" chant to give it a little extra UMPH!**

Coldplay - Viva La Vida (JM's Telemitry Radio Edit)

**I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Finally, me and the hubby have another song we meet on! He's always been a huge Coldplay fan and well, I couldn't really care less about them lol...that is...till I heard this song!! I instantly fell in love with it because of it's melody and string line that they use as well as the song having a pretty steady beat to it. I've found a few mixes of this song (including that AWFUL cover that Almighty did--Good mix, just terrible female vocals) and as it stands, this is the best. I'm looking for the accapella for this song so I too can make my own mix--If anyone out there has it, I'd be EVER so greatful!! This mix though has some great vocal stutters and whoever Telemitry is, they are to be commended for making such a great mix with the original track which usually doesn't work out so well for most!**

Duffy - Mercy (JM's Gareth Wyn Radio Edit)

**This was a song I was sleeping on for awhile and then (again) I saw this on So You Think You Can Dance and fell in love with it. In it's original form, it's very Amy Winehouse-esque minus the whole Meth addiction lol. Gareth Wyn (whoever he may be) did a fantastic job in bringing this to the dance floor and it sounds so natural, something I would've never expected this song to sound like with a beat. Highly reccommended here!!!**

Earth, Wind & Fire - Boogie Wonderland (Bimbo Jones Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**It was bound to happen right?? Well it's finally come to be and I have to say while the original is a disco classic and all, it was never one of my favorites. Bimbo Jones however does have that magic touch and they gave this such a fresh sound that if it wasn't for the backup singers doing their "Dance! Boogie Wonderland" chanting, this could easily have been recording and produced yesterday. I swear I'm gonna make a "I Heart Bimbo Jones" t-shirt one day!**

Kickin It OLD School!!!

What can be said about the state of house music today?

Well this much I am sure of, it sure as hell ain't what it used to be!!!

Don't get me wrong, remixers are still putting out some slammin stuff...but where are the classics?? Where are the songs you hear and you just can't get enough of!?

The ones that dominate the clubs and they don't go away, ever!!

These next few songs all were monumental in my life. They made me dance around like a moron and at peak hour (if you know what I mean) made me loooooooooooooose my mind!!!

Some of these edits are updated versions of the classics. We all know the original ones so I thought it would be interesting to give a new spin on em. I especially love Hommer's 2007 mix of Derb! Brilliant! Meanwhile, Ralphi Rosario took Razor N Guido's "Do It Again" and added some vocals to it which gave it a more circuity feel. Junior Vasquez provided a few mixes for Jonah's club anthem "Shhh...Be Quiet" and here I edited the original mix he did and his "All Y'All Be Quiet" mix which uses samples from the old school Royal House classic "Can U Party?".

On the other side of the world, Israeli DJ Gil Shwartz took Robert Miles pop trance track "Children" and gave it a little bit more punch. DJ's Skribble and Anthony Acid collaborated to produce an expertly produced update of the Jungle Bros "I'll House You" which is full of fun samples as well.

I also thought that it would be fun to combine Plasmic Honey's "Ride The Trip" with "Take Me To The Top" (and throw some samples of "I Am Ready" in there) since they are similar in their sound.

I also threw in Razor N Guido's unrelenting mix of John Creamer's "Lift Up The Needle" which is just a house music mind fuck and Junior Vasquez's mix of Charlotte's vocal anthem "Skin".

Another classic (for me anyways) is the white label mash-up of Ralphi Rosario's "You Used To Hold Me" with Yaz' 80's classic "Don't Go". I don't know WHO did this mix but I wish they would stand up and get the credit they deserve. I don't know HOW many times I've played this one before!

So, raise a glass to old school house music!! These guys were the pioneers and with their own sound and style, revolutionized the sound of electronic dance music!! All I can say is thanks for all the great memories!!!

The Spelling Bee Champion!

Ok, so right off the bat, here's my issue with Fergie: Why is she constantly spelling in all of her songs? ("G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S...." or "F to the E to the R to the G-I-E...") Or at the very least, why does she have such bad lyrics sometimes?

One thing I will say, the girl does have a set of pipes but much like Nicole Scherzinger (from the Pussycat Dolls) she doesn't use them that much!

Why I have no idea...

And long before she was solo she was the lead girl in the Black Eyed Peas but even before that she was in the trio girl group Wild Orchid and struggling with an addiction to crystal meth.

Fun stuff! But as much as I actually don't really care for this song ("I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket." -- Really Fergie? Are ya??) I can't deny a great mix, once again provided by Hommer.

Grrrrrrrrrrr. I hate when this happens.

Ok, I admit it. I hate this song.

If there's one thing that drives me nuts it's when radio force feeds everyone a certain song for awhile and you can't help but know every word to it! There's so much better music out there!!

The thing about it is that I think the melody and use of samples in the original version are good.

It's Sean Kingston (who clearly has a face for radio) that I don't like. Luckily though, teen pop star Jojo made a cover version of this song that is not only lyrically better but just flows smoother than Sean's.

Unfortunately though there are no remixes (to my knowledge) of Jojo's version but a few surfaced for Sean's.

Here, remixed by Hommer (does anyone have any info on them?) is a mainstream remix with a very solid beat and good synths. And as much as I hate to say it, I like it alot. This goes into the guilty pleasures list as well...
