Amy Winehouse - Tears Dry On Their Own (JM's Alix Alvarez Sole Radio Edit)
**I really hope that Amy can get her shit together and give us some more great music!!! It's such a shame because she's so talented! I haven't really been a fan of many of her mixes because her music is usually the kind I like in it's original form only. Even this one doesn't necessarily blow me away but it's a cute summer mix with a funky happy twist and I think it works.**

Blondie - Maria (JM's Soul Solution Radio Mix)
** Back in 1999 this was Blondie's big comeback song from their CD "No Exit" and I loved everything about it! The song went to #1 in the UK while it stalled at a disappointing #82 in the US pop charts, however, the remixes of it did make it to #9. True, Blondie looked alot older and Debbie Harry's face seemed like it only had one facial expression left, but that's ok because Soul Solution put together a great mix here guaranteed to keep your face (and your feet) happy! **

Byron Stingily - U Turn Me (Michael T Diamond Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I just found this one deep in the books and I just had to include it. This is a great vocal but this is also one of those rare occasions when I like the dub more than the vocal. The Michael T Diamond Dub of this took over NYC dance clubs so much more than the vocal mix and even though it was much more popular, an edit of it would just be foolish lol. So instead I offer the vocal.**

S Club 7 Juniors - One Step Closer (Almighty Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is straight up euro pop dance cheese!! Back in the day, British band S Club 7 was all over the charts and they spawned another group called S Club 7 Juniors which then turned into S Club 8, and while the members are off persuing solo stuff as of today, this was a remix of their first big song in the UK (which reached #2) in 2002. Almighty of course took it and amped it up for the dancefloors!**

Sylver Logan Sharp - After All This Time (JM's Jonathan Peters Barebones Radio Mix)
**We all know this song and I know I've posted it before, but here, Jonathan Peters offers something really interesting and he calls it his Barebones Mix. This mix was never released and it's basically beat, bass and vocal with maybe one synth line thrown in. It's uber-minimal and it has a very dark feel to it. Sylver's voice, of course, still sounds incredible and you can really hear her vocal prowess here. A must have!**

Synergy 4 - Come To Me (JM's Mada & Moody Radio Edit)
**I don't know alot about this song except that I heard it on a mix CD in 1998 and it took me forever to find it! I stumbled across a promo vinyl for it in a bargain bin (and after almost passing out) ripped it immediately! The vocal here is insane as is the production. Alot of dance music at this time was very dark sounding, almost gothic and the productions of all the heavy hitters at the time like Plasmic Honey, Mada & Moody, Sal Dano, Robbie Tronco all reflected that. Definitely give this a listen, they just don't make build-ups like this anymore.**

Ultra Nate vs M-Dolla - Free To Preach (JM's Whitelabel Radio Edit)
**Alright, we all know who M-Dolla is right? It's the rediculous nickname this artist gets called on her new CD that has to do with Candy... If not, just click the link and you'll see. But she has really no contribution to this mix at all. Whoever did it used the vocals from Ultra Nate's "Free" and the violins from M-Dolla's "Papa Don't Preach" and made a great mash-up!!**

X-Press feat Rob Harvey - Kill 100 (JM's DJ Paulo & Todd Dutkevitch Extended Radio Mix)
**This mix is brilliant from start to stop!! The haunting vocals from Rob Harvey combined with Paulo & Todd's incredible tribal mix is to die for!! This one will NOT dissappoint for sure!!**

A Taste of Tel-Aviv

By now, it's no secret that some of the hottest music is coming out of Israel. They've taken dance music and made a sound they call their own with Offer Nissim as their front runner.
However, there are many a DJ over there that's producing some HOT music and I thought it would be nice to give them their day in the sun and showcase some of it! Some of these artists though are difficult to find information on so if I have it, I'll include it here, otherwise, just the song.
First up is is DJ Danny Tuval. As of today Danny is the resident at the all gay party Cruise @ Move in Tel-Aviv in addition to holding two monthly residencies at the FFF (Sirazi) party @ Powder and Freedom at Platinum Club , the biggest club in Eilat.
Danny has also been a special guest at Vox, TLV, Dome, Pacha Tel-Aviv and has been a part of such big productions in Israel like: The Love Parade (1999, 2000, 2002, 2005), Dance City 99, Cinerama Rave in The Millenium (which had 5,000 people), The Gay Parade 2001, 2003 & 2004 where he played on the main stage in front of 15,000 people!!
In Israel he's shared the decks with renouned DJj's such as: Junior Vasquez , Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren , Satoshi Tomiie , Peace Division , Tom Stephan (Superchumbo) , Mike Cruz , Jo Mills, Tarantella, 'Space' Ibiza Crew and many, many more...
But here, he teams up with fellow producer Zigo with lovely vocals from Carmi to create a stunningly beautiful club thumper called "So Amazing"! Enjoy!

I first discovered Roie Yamin & Tal Kerman because of a beautiful piano intro mix they did for Offer Nissim/Maya's "Alone" and was very excited to find that they have been producing their own music as well!

Moshe Fain was born in 1982 and began his career at only 16, DJing in some of the major clubs and high class private parties in Israel. His big breakthrough was at the Sling Club where he supported his new line of music and his reputation only got bigger and bigger.
After completing his millitary service, he stopped DJing for a while in order to build his studio and he enrolled to BPM Musical College where he took professional sound & mastering courses.
Then he continued his career as a producer and while his reputation was growing, he was invited by Peter Rauhofer to work on Offer Nissim's "Be My Boyfriend Pt. 2" remix. The single was released on the ROXY 5 CD collection and was a huge success all over the world.
Today Fain is part of EXM Records, as the A&R of the electronic music division. His new production FM Project (Fain & Marcus Project) has garnered lots of amazing feedback from DJ's all over the world. While the project is heading onto a world tour, the crew of FM Project has released some of the finest remixes for hit singles like Perry Twins feat Jania - Activate My Body & Rihanna feat Jay Z - Umbrella. Both of which gained lots of plays in radio's & clubs over the world.
This is Moshe's take on Amuka's "Appreciate Me". While it doesn' stray far from the original version at all, this version is a little rougher around the edges which is nice and I tried to keep alot of the beautiful intro Moshe has provided.

Amir M & Gal M are another duo who produce some slammin house music who I can't find info on except that Gal M stands for Gal Mustaki which is his full name. If anyone has info, please let me know! Till then...Here's some of the great stuff they've produced!! The first track sounds SO familiar to me...like an old freestyle song. If anyone knows for sure, please tell me! The two Dana International songs, in their original length only come to about 5 1/2 minutes each so I left them alone and just posted them here.

Asi Givati has been literally rocking my socks since I heard his guitar mix of Offer Nissim/Maya's "Alone". The guitar in that song completely gives it more depth and emotion and that's the only mix I play. Since then I've learned that not only is he very young...Somewhere in his early 20's I believe at present but that he plays the guitar live over most of his mixes, which is why these are a little bit longer than edits because I wanted to feature the live guitar solo's.

Tomer G seems to be the next Israeli DJ on the verge of making it big here in the states. While back in Israel he produced mega-hits over there with "Fuel 2 Fire" and "Supernatural" featuring vocalist Maxine, he's just recently started remixing some of todays top pop hits. Google him, he's also dead sexy! Haha!
First is an official edit from Tomer G for Liz McClarnon's (former member of pop group Atomic Kitten) version of Barbra Streisand's "Woman In Love" and then, even though I already posted it, my edit of Tomer's AMAZING mix of Kat DeLuna's "Whine Up"

Kickin It OLD School!!!

What can be said about the state of house music today?
Well this much I am sure of, it sure as hell ain't what it used to be!!!
Don't get me wrong, remixers are still putting out some slammin stuff...but where are the classics?? Where are the songs you hear and you just can't get enough of!?
The ones that dominate the clubs and they don't go away, ever!!
These next few songs all were monumental in my life. They made me dance around like a moron and at peak hour (if you know what I mean) made me loooooooooooooose my mind!!!
Some of these edits are updated versions of the classics. We all know the original ones so I thought it would be interesting to give a new spin on em. I especially love Hommer's 2007 mix of Derb! Brilliant! Meanwhile, Ralphi Rosario took Razor N Guido's "Do It Again" and added some vocals to it which gave it a more circuity feel. Junior Vasquez provided a few mixes for Jonah's club anthem "Shhh...Be Quiet" and here I edited the original mix he did and his "All Y'All Be Quiet" mix which uses samples from the old school Royal House classic "Can U Party?".
On the other side of the world, Israeli DJ Gil Shwartz took Robert Miles pop trance track "Children" and gave it a little bit more punch. DJ's Skribble and Anthony Acid collaborated to produce an expertly produced update of the Jungle Bros "I'll House You" which is full of fun samples as well.
I also thought that it would be fun to combine Plasmic Honey's "Ride The Trip" with "Take Me To The Top" (and throw some samples of "I Am Ready" in there) since they are similar in their sound.
I also threw in Razor N Guido's unrelenting mix of John Creamer's "Lift Up The Needle" which is just a house music mind fuck and Junior Vasquez's mix of Charlotte's vocal anthem "Skin".
Another classic (for me anyways) is the white label mash-up of Ralphi Rosario's "You Used To Hold Me" with Yaz' 80's classic "Don't Go". I don't know WHO did this mix but I wish they would stand up and get the credit they deserve. I don't know HOW many times I've played this one before!
So, raise a glass to old school house music!! These guys were the pioneers and with their own sound and style, revolutionized the sound of electronic dance music!! All I can say is thanks for all the great memories!!!
