Hey everyone!!!

I just wanted to thank you all for all your kind words and well wishing while I've been at school and all that jazz. I will be back soon...Im hoping within the week...I've got alot of great stuff to post and it's buggin me that I haven't haha!

So keep checking back! Any day now I shall return! Hah!

Here's some stuff I had just layin around in the meantime since you've all been so good with me with this!!!

Knob - Music (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**A new song from this hot Israeli dance/pop duo!!**

Krista - Weakness Of The Body (Josh Harris Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Originally a Brenda K Starr song, then covered as a Demo track by Mariah Carey, now updated by Krista with a great production by Josh Harris. I reccommend tracking down the Mariah one if you're a fan of her and/or freestyle music.**

Matchbox Twenty - How Far We've Come (Ralphi Rosario & Craig J Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I've always loved Rob Thomas. Aside from the fact that he's dead sexy he's incredibly talented as well. Ralphi and Craig were able to transform this rock gem into a great club thomper with ease.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?4ui3l2m1sdl

Dame Shirley Bassey - Get This Party Started (Shirley Bassey vs Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I don't really know what to say about this one. I knew it was going to be rediculous and all but I think Chris really did a great job with it! The thing that's interesting is that it's just as good as Pink's version (yes, it IS that song) but in a different way. Drag queens take your mark!**

Laura Blake - Save The Best For Last (Almighty Anthem Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is Almighty doing what Almighty does best--Cover versions. Some work. Some don't. This does!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?9y02iyy0o5w

Abigail - Let The Joy Rise (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of my favorite classic TP2k mixes! It's a shame to see Abigial fizzle out the way she did, but thank goodness we got this outta her before she did! A sure fire way to kick things up a notch!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?dxngd2zzg3z

Cher - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore (JM's Alternate Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**There's artists and then there's Cher. And within that, there's this mix. This is one of the first mixes/songs I heard by Junior/Cher and I was floored. This mix is so grandiose I just couldn't handle it haha! But of course, since Junior is Junior, he made 1,200 mixes of it lol... This is an edit I did for an alternate mix of his which is a little more stripped down and is more beat driven. Enjoy!!**

Enjoy and thanks again for all your loyalty!!

Inaya Day - Breakaway (JM's Anthem Radio Edit)
**One of the best covers I've ever heard! Originally done by Big Pig in the 80's**

Jzabehl - It's All About Me (JM's Tony Moran Radio Edit)
**Great bitch track-esque song! Originally a reggaeton track but has new vocals for this remix**

Laura Branigan - The Winner Takes It All (JM's Matt & Vito Radio Edit)
**RIP Laura! She was one of my favorite vocalists from the 80's and this was recorded shortly before she passed away due to a brain anyurism. This is an awesome cover of the Abba hit of the same name. Matt & Vito took it to the next level for sure.**

Kate DeAraugo - Faded (JM's Chameleon Radio Edit)
**Kate was the winner of Australian Idol 2 years ago and this is a remix of her first single. Great pop remix!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?4tg5jhzmiys

Luz Divina - You Shine On Me (JM's Extended Jonathan Peters Radio Mix) **Perhaps one of the most beautifully produced dance songs ever. Luz has one of the sickest voices in dance music and Jonathan Peters and Tony Coluccio engineered this amazingly! I had to include the dramatic breakdowns...They make the song! This is probably more of a mixshow than anything else...but the vocals keep coming!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?aejjzxdj2dy

Nicki French - I Surrender (JM's Shanghai Surprise Radio Edit)
**We all remember Nicki from her cover of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" but a few years back she covered this Celine Dion ballad and I have to say that it's argueably just as good as Celine's and now backed with a hi-nrg mix from Shanghai Surprise**

What do you say to taking chances? What do you say to jumping off the edge?

If there's one person that no matter what, I've been a fan of, it's Celine.

She's got the voice and I think she's got the looks. And by the looks of this picture, she's got the hair as well!

But back to the voice...Everyone knows it and it's natural it would make it's way to the dancefloor and it has many a time over the years.

Tony Moran's mix of "To Love You More" was amazing as was Thunderpuss' mix of "I Want You To Need Me"--Stunning!!

Even in small room mixes like Metro's mix of "That's The Way It Is", Celine brings it home every time.

I wil go on record as saying that as a full length album, her latest effort "Taking Chances" is easily one of the best albums of 2007. It combines many different styles and of course, her voice sounds flawless! 16 tracks in total (and thats without the bonus tracks!) gives you plenty of Celine for months to come.

The first single and title track "Taking Chances" is a pop/rock midtempo song that shows a different side of Celine. Don't believe me? Watch the video! Hah!

So far, I've found 3 remixes and as much as I love the song AND Celine, the remixes don't really do all that much for me. The I-Soul mix took a good shot but fell short with me with the chord progression. Matt Piso took a different route and made a very simplistic electro track that's very one level. Doesn't go very far and to me, undermines the "umph" of the song. I did however, have the highest hopes for Ralphi Rosario & Craig J's mix but much like the others, it just demeans the could-be-anthem of Celine's delivery. Ralphi and Craig made it more soulful which is nice, but not a floor filler. Ralphi does deliver a pretty interesting Dub though, so check that one out.

But here, as it stands, are my edits. Let's hope for more mixes!!

Kickin It OLD School!!!

What can be said about the state of house music today?

Well this much I am sure of, it sure as hell ain't what it used to be!!!

Don't get me wrong, remixers are still putting out some slammin stuff...but where are the classics?? Where are the songs you hear and you just can't get enough of!?

The ones that dominate the clubs and they don't go away, ever!!

These next few songs all were monumental in my life. They made me dance around like a moron and at peak hour (if you know what I mean) made me loooooooooooooose my mind!!!

Some of these edits are updated versions of the classics. We all know the original ones so I thought it would be interesting to give a new spin on em. I especially love Hommer's 2007 mix of Derb! Brilliant! Meanwhile, Ralphi Rosario took Razor N Guido's "Do It Again" and added some vocals to it which gave it a more circuity feel. Junior Vasquez provided a few mixes for Jonah's club anthem "Shhh...Be Quiet" and here I edited the original mix he did and his "All Y'All Be Quiet" mix which uses samples from the old school Royal House classic "Can U Party?".

On the other side of the world, Israeli DJ Gil Shwartz took Robert Miles pop trance track "Children" and gave it a little bit more punch. DJ's Skribble and Anthony Acid collaborated to produce an expertly produced update of the Jungle Bros "I'll House You" which is full of fun samples as well.

I also thought that it would be fun to combine Plasmic Honey's "Ride The Trip" with "Take Me To The Top" (and throw some samples of "I Am Ready" in there) since they are similar in their sound.

I also threw in Razor N Guido's unrelenting mix of John Creamer's "Lift Up The Needle" which is just a house music mind fuck and Junior Vasquez's mix of Charlotte's vocal anthem "Skin".

Another classic (for me anyways) is the white label mash-up of Ralphi Rosario's "You Used To Hold Me" with Yaz' 80's classic "Don't Go". I don't know WHO did this mix but I wish they would stand up and get the credit they deserve. I don't know HOW many times I've played this one before!

So, raise a glass to old school house music!! These guys were the pioneers and with their own sound and style, revolutionized the sound of electronic dance music!! All I can say is thanks for all the great memories!!!

And now for something rediculous...

Alright. If you've been to a wedding, sweet 16, anniversary party, birthday party or family reunion within the last 20 years, you know this song.

I don't know how mixes like this come to be because honestly, I can't see Ralphi Rosario being the big name DJ he is whipping out his remix of Copacabana at peak hour in any of the biggest clubs in the world in which he plays.

However, this 2005 remix (with new vocals from Barry) gave private party DJ's a reason to rejoice. An updated version for the masses that keeps the energy going better than the original (pictured to the right, and how fantastically gay is that cover??).

So here, in all of it's strange glory, I give you Barry. And btw, Im totally not a Fanilow.
