Thunderpuss & Junior & Hex--Oh My!!

Ok, so HOW cool is that iPod dock!! I want it!!!
Since I've had a bunch of tracks for separate posts featuring these DJ's, I figured I'd combine them all. You know...A little of column A, some of column B....
And I'm sorry I haven't posted a lot but I've been busy at school (which is ALMOST over--Thank God!) but this week I have summer break so I'll hopefully be able to get a bunch of stuff out to you all!!
Backstreet Boys - The Call (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was one of the first songs that saw BSB making the bridge from teen pop idols to more mature men and has them singing about cheating on their respective others. While in the song it ended badly, this mix is anything but!! Super high energy from Thunderpuss here and with a really great vocal breakdown, this mix is definitely irresistible for me!**
Britney Spears - I'm A Slave 4 U (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I have to admit, when I first heard this mix I really wasn't a fan. The piano chords seemed off to me and I guess I wanted something a little different from the boys. Well the more I listened to it, the more I started to enjoy it and the way they used Britney's spoken vocals in this is so awesome!! Definitely a fun mix!**
Hilary Duff - So Yesterday (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This mix marked a very sad day for me for it was to be Thunderpuss' very last collaboration. All through to the end though, they put their all in it and delivered a great mix! The song is cheesy but it works well with the beat. It's a straight up mainstream pop remix with, of course, lots of energy!**
Pet Shop Boys - NYC Boy (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Omg! I love this song! Haha! I was SO obsessed with this when it came out!! PSB came back with a vengeance and this song headed straight to the #1 spot on the dance charts. At the time (1999) I was heavily involved in the NYC club scene so naturally I assumed that this song was written about ME! Hahaha!! Thunderpuss did SUCH an incredible job but all the mixes to this were great from Superchumbo to Almighty and Lange, everyone involved gave it their all!**
Aqua - Around The World (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Ok, so we all know Aqua from their cheese-smash hit "Barbie Girl" but there was life for the group after that. This song, the second single from their second CD "Aquarius" had Aqua changing their "Barbie Girl" style to a more anthemic sound and who better to take that on than Junior?? Say what you want, but I always thought this was a slammin mix because the melody and structure of the song allow for a very grandiose production from Junior and that's where I like him best! The original mix which clocks in at 13 min & 40 sec here gets trimmed down to about 4 and change. Definitely get ahold of the full mix. It's totally worth it!!**
Laura Turner - Soul Deep (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**Laura Turner to me, is one part Sarah Brightman and one part Delerium. Being that she sounds very similar to Sarah Brightman, I immediately loved this song when I got a promo of the original. I was VERY shocked to see that this song made it's way to Junior's lap. Junior takes the song as far away from the original as possible, giving her voice a nice echo effect and using some real tribal drums throughout.**
Anastacia - I'm Outta Love (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This was the song that started my love affair with Anastacia (born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk). At this time I was basically in Sam Goody every day ravaging the CD single section looking for anything that had Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Tony Moran & Thunderpuss on it. When I found this, I didn't really know who she was but if it had Hex on the single, it was good enough for me! THANK GOD I bought this!! Anastacia's first single (which got to #2 on the dance charts) is a stunner all around! A fantastic vocal from Anastacia (she became my new Taylor Dayne) and a thumping mix from Hex made for some dance music drama which still holds up today! Also I'm very excited because Anastacia is supposed to be releasing her new CD "Heavy Rotation" on October 24th of this year!!**
Jessica Simpson - Irresistable (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Jessica's lead single from her third CD of the same name started to show a slightly more mature Jessica and definitely a sexier Jessica as she sings about how irresistible her beau is. And when that beau is Nick Lachey, who can blame her? ::swoon:: This song only got to #15 on the Hot 100 charts but also peaked at #3 on the Top 40 Mainstream charts. It didn't chart on the dance charts at all, but thats ok because Hex and Dezrok really gave a stunning mix as always!**
Kina - Girl From The Gutter (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**ANTHEM ALERT!!! I don't know if I have any other words for this one but DOWNLOAD IT!! If you know it, then you know it, if you don't know it, it will change your life! Hahaha!! Everything about this mix is perfect! From Kina's vocals to Hex & Mac Quayle's anthemic remix, it tears through any dance floor with ease!**
Lisa Stansfield - I'm Leavin (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Classic classic classic!!! Lisa sounds beautiful as always as she breezes through Hex's remix which has her telling off her man. My favorite lyric is "How could I be so dumb?/I thought I loved a man/But more and more you proved to be a boy/And now I understand/But I can't babysit no more/That's not what I loved you for/I'd rather be alone/Bye bye/Cause I'm really leaving this time..."**
Pink - You Make Me Sick (HQ2 Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Hex & Mac take on bad girl Pink's third single from her debut "Can't Take Me Home" and while it only made it to #23 on the dance charts, this is definitely a mix that's endured the test of time as I've seen it still make a dance floor erupt every now and then when played.**
Reina - Anything For Love (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Reina's second single and collaboration with Hex Hector & Mac Quayle after the anthemic "Find Another Woman" has Reina in familiar territory. This song has very much the same structure of "Find Another Woman" but instead of being annoyed at her man, she's telling us all how she'd "live for love and die for love" and Hex & Mac are standing right by her side! lol Definitely a fun track!!**
Stars On 54 - If You Could Read My Mind (Hex Hector Epic Piano Mix) **Official Edit**
**Amber, Jocelyn Enriquez & Ultra Nate get a GORGEOUS treatment here by the Hex/Dezrok camp and Dezrok's keyboard work really gets its time to shine. No beats on this one, only gorgeous keyboards, dreamy synths and a lush arrangement just make you wanna float away!**
Bonus Edit: This one is a special request from DM (I hope you like it!) and has to be one of the most challenging mixes I've ever taken on. The first 45 seconds were a nightmare for me as I was wracking my brain trying to chop out Thunderpuss' very long intro to this mix. This one was never officially released but thank God it leaked. I never understood why the Above & Beyond mix was such a big to-do with this song as it just never really did anything for me, and the mix was even used in the video for this song as well. ::shrug::
This mix also had a lot of controversy surrounding it as Barry Harris explained in an interview with About.com. This also shows the negative effect mis-labeling mixes can cause. It's one of my biggest pet peeves:
Barry Harris: We did what I thought was a really kick-ass job of "What It Feels Like For A Girl," and we did it early, like two or three months ahead of time. Everybody knew that we were working on it and someone somewhere took the original album version of "What It Feels Like For A Girl," put it on the net and said it was a Thunderpuss mix. That's all they had to do, and that messed everything up. Someone at Warners said they saw a Thunderpuss mix was already on the net and people are already downloading it. That started this fire within the record company and Madonna, and we were like "no, it's not our mix", we have not done anything. They just cancelled our entire mix, period, and that was it, the end of story. It's that simple. We worked with them again later and everything was cool. But it was just such an annoying, stupid reaction that people freaked-out over what wasn't true and our mix wasn't on there, when we worked so very hard and put so much blood, hard guts and soul into it. We did three recalls, because we weren't happy with it. We'd play it out on the weekends and put a lot of heart into that, only to have that stupid situation snuff it out. That was rather disappointing, but I'm over it now. There's my whine story for ya!

Thunderpuss (Part Three)

The more I dig, the more I find lol... That's one of my favorite things about this blog. The more I post and the more I get to interact with you all out there, I remember songs I haven't heard in forever and get to relive it all again!!

Thank you all so much for your love and support of this blog!! I can only hope that you continue to read and enjoy all of this great music!! :-)

Abigail - Let The Joy Rise (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I've always been such a huge fan of this song. Abigail started out over seas doing really cheesy dance cover versions of pop songs for Klone records (including kd Lang's "Constant Craving" which is actually pretty good). This song was Abigail's first venture as a solo dance artist with original material. There's not much better than when Thunderpuss takes on an uplifiting anthem track! And this 1998 one is one of their best!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?oxm49w0xei0

Amber - Above The Clouds (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When this song came out, Amber was untouchable and this song quickly became one of her biggest! So much so that this song was even featured in the final episode of "Sex and The City"! While almost all of the mixes were great from Jonathan Peters, The Berman Brothers, Thunderpuss & Sal Dano & Brian K, Thunderpuss' was just a LITTLE bit better than the others. It has mainstream sensibilities but works great in clubs as well. The Sal Dano & Brian K running a very close second (and they provided a SICK Dub as well!).**

Britney Spears - Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Both Thunderpuss & Hex Hector turned out incredible mixes for this song! Hex went the Dezrok route with a slick production and dreamy synths that focus on the songs original beauty. Thunderpuss took a harder route with punchier synths but both Hex & Thunderpuss did something amazing here: They (at least for me) took a ballad and made a dance version out of it which is better than the original. I prefer this song as a dance song much more than a ballad. Written by Shania Twain (who also does backup vocals for the song) and her ex-husband Robert "Mutt" Lange, the songs melody just feels so at home on the dancefloor!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mskcexajzrx

Brooke Allison - The Kiss Off (Goodbye) (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Brooke Allison had a minor hit with this song in 2001 and it actually peaked at #28 on the hot singles sales chart. Since this song and her debut album she went on to do some work for Disney but that's about it from her! Thunderpuss really takes this song on with a vengance. The original is a very cheesy pop song that uses the AOL "Goodbye" sample in it which now in Thunderpuss' version sounds quirkier but it works very well. This also has some killers synths and hits all over the place...along with some great vocal effects.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?etmugww3x9x

Enrique Iglasias - Be With You (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Ahhhh...The other side of Thunderpuss! Around this time in 2000, Thunderpuss' sound started to take a different direction. The beats were faster and smoother and the synths were dreamier and trance like as can be heard in this mix as well as their Lara Fabian "I Will Love Again" mix which I'll post another time. You can also see though that just because the main part of their mix sounds a little different, they still know how to make a wicked build up!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?yz1jjztxfzj

Gloria Estefan - Out Of Nowhere (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**After Gloria hit big with her "Gloria!" cd which was full of club mixes galore, she released a Greatest Hits Vol 2 CD and this was one of the 4 new tracks on the CD's. Peaking at #6 on the dance charts, it even recieved a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording (losting to Janet Jackson's "All For You"). With remixes by Boris & Beck, Metro, Obadam, Vito Andolini & Thunderpuss the CD release was packed with options. Mine was obviously Thunderpuss lol...Boris & Beck and Metro produced some cute mixes as well, but Thunderpuss takes this where it needs to be and seemed to be the next logical choice after all the mixes from her last CD.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?z1bikhx1nsc

Thunderpuss feat Jocelyn Enriquez - So Fierce, So Fabulous (Freak Out) (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**I've heard some really gay music in my day and THIS is right up there! Thunderpuss joins forces with dance music favorite for this fierce and fabulous song which samples Chic's "Le Freak" all throughout. It's big, it's loud, it's here and proud! Blast it boys!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vgtbxiry3yt

LeAnn Rimes - Tic Toc (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Quite possibly the best of all the LeAnn mixes out there!! LeAnn wants it and she wants it now!!! She's isn't holding any punches back on this song which has her moaning and singing about her screwing her brains out. The most genius part is of course the build up where LeAnn is literally climaxing which has her singing "A little to the left. A little to the right. A little bit longer, all the way tonight. I close my eyes, my body tenses. Boy you're touchin all my senses. Don't stop, c'mon, I'm almost there...". GAG!!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?twum03zuejf

Luther Vandross - Can Heaven Wait (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Now we all know that Luther had one of the finest voices in R&B but I gotta be honest when I say I don't know what was going on here. This seems like one of the biggest 'message songs' ever. Listen to the lyrics and you'll see what I mean. I've heard Luther's mixes before and some of them have been good and while Thunderpuss put out a great mix and gave the song energy with the few powerful notes Luther has in this song, I don't know if I really enjoy this one as a vocal mix. As a dub, the mix is great!! Luther's vocal just doesn't really do that much for me here and I feel that his typical smooth delivery is a little lost sometimes.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?vymctlbkyz2

Mandy Moore - In My Pocket (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another underrated artist here! I love Mandy so much! This was a great single for her as it already had a dance beat (which came with a hot video as well), I was overjoyed when Thunderpuss took to it!! Like with their mix for Janet's "All For You", this has some really good vocal effects here and a hard hitting mix (with two build ups!!) that you can't help but move to!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mlt3hgtdtnr

Mary J Blige - No More Drama (JM's Dramatic Thunderpuss Mixshow Edit)
**This one is near impossible to cut--so I didn't! All I basically did here was start the track from the R&B section to the all out dance mix and then clipped it at the end with a cute ending. This is another "Forever Gag" because I just can't imagine producing something this intense. So top 3!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?owtmtmujwgz

Play - I Must Not Chase The Boys (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**Now I admit that when I was growing up, I was totally sucked into the pop music craze that started with Britney and I was all about the style and all the lesser known artists that went with it. I found girl group Play's first single "Us Against The World" which was I thought was so cute (and even had mixes by Andy & The Lamboy) and I figured they'd be a flash in the pan. Well, they are no longer together, but along the way they did make some interesting waves. This song firstly was a great song for Thunderpuss to take on. Obviously a tween boy chasing anthem, Thunderpuss makes the song seem a little more mature and coquettish and even a little bit naughty. The title track of their 2004 CD "Don't Stop The Music" was originally written and recorded by fellow Swede Robyn ("Who's That Girl" & "Handle Me"). They also had a long term endorsement for the Limited Too clothing store and were featured on the soundtrack for Disney's 20th anniversary edition of "Annie".**
http://www.mediafire.com/?miwtmmxfzxl

Spice Girls - Tell Me Why (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**We all know what was going on here! Geri (Ginger Spice) Halliwell quit the group and the scandal took over the world! What were they gonna do now!!?? Well, aside from having her face X-ed out all over, they put out this song, which say what you will, is CLEARLY about Geri. While Mel C was usually co-writing most of the Spice Girls music, she was working on a solo CD and this was mainly written by Mel B & Victoria who had the distinction of having the opening vocals on this song (something she had never done before). This was supposed to have been another single from their "Forever" CD but due to the poor sales of the other singles "Goodbye" & "Holler", it never saw release. Promo's started circulating around though with mixes by Thunderpuss and Jonathan Peters and the song did very well as a club hit. The Jonathan Peters edit was included on the girls latest Greatest Hits cd as a bonus track.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?wx0dwgjdstj

Thunderpuss feat Chris Barnes - Head (JM's Chris Cox Radio Edit)
**By far a very different venture from Thunderpuss here and while it's listed as Thunderpuss, this time we have Chris Cox doing the bulk of the work. Mostly a spoken word vocal and a strange one at that, you can hear Chris Cox starting to form his own sound here and it wasn't long after this that Thunderpuss started nearing it's end.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?9dxasj1rwmn

Whitney Houston - My Love Is Your Love (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of the rare Thunderpuss mixes I don't really care for. They did an ok job but I feel it lacks a general energy that most of their mixes have. There are some nice elements, mainly the vocal effects used, but Jonathan Peters owned this song in the end.**

Thunderpuss (Part Two)

Thunderpuss appears to be quite the popular post right now! I've been getting alot of good feedback from it and Im happy to give you more of their music!
The thing thats great about Thunderpuss also is that they both actually work on the music together...er...they DID I should say. With alot of remixers, they have the ideas but dont really get very hands on, they're DJ's and they've got the creative side down pat (which is absolutely necesary) but when it comes to engineering and programming, they call in the cohorts.
Chris and Barry both did everything from A to Z which could be why they were one of the biggest remixing team ever!!!
Amber - Taste The Tears (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Amber had so much great music that some of it did get lost in the shuffle. Such is the case with this song! Thunderpuss originally did a pop production for it, but naturally they made one dancefloor friendly as well. If you can get the full mix, it's worth it. There's a break in it where the beats stop, Amber laughs and just says 'Drama' and then a you hear a dish breaking noise in it. Gag-worthy!!**
Britney Spears - I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Back when Britney was making the move from teen queen to pop royalty, she released this little ditty. It's kinda cheesy (and co-written by Dido strangely enough) but Thunderpuss did what they could with this and if you listen to the vocals, they did ALOT of work on them to make them fit with this mix and Im sure that wasn't easy. Still, I love it! Viva La T-Puss!**
Celine Dion - I Want You To Need Me (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. This may be my favorite Thunderpuss remix ever. From start to finish this mix is just incredible! I love Celine on the dancefloor and this is just a hands in the air diva vocal if I ever heard one!!**
Deni Hines - I Like The Way (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Mix)
**This song is special in that this was the very first Thunderpuss production!! The Australian R&B songstress released this song off her "Imagination" CD in 1996 and now that Chris & Barry had joined forces, they took this on earning their first top 10 dance hit, when this song hit #4 on the US dance charts!**
Enrique Iglasias - Escape (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Latin hottie Enrique Iglasias was riding the high life in 2001 when he released this single from his 2nd English CD also of the same name. Every single of his in Spanish and in English had hit #1 on the US Latin charts (aside from "Be With You" that reached #2) and this would be his second #2 single. Even though he had that mole, he was still hot to me! Haha! My friends and I used to sing "You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my mole!". I know it's mean, but it makes me giggle! Thunderpuss of course riding high as well and this earned them yet another #1 on the US dance charts!**
Kristine W - Clubland (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This one is probably one of Kristine's most fun songs ever! The original had her scatting (get your filthy minds out of the gutter!), be-bopping and blowin her saxophone all over it! Thunderpuss amped the energy up and really gave Kristine something to scat about!! :-P This was only released as a B-side to Kristine's single for "Stronger" and I'll never know why! Both the vocal and the ThunderDUB on this are amazing so check them both out! I also love her lyrics 'Every night you re-invent what you really want to be. He’s a she but we all agree. It’s a party blow your own horn. Down in clubland. Underground in clubland. You want to blow your own horn. It’s alive in clubland. Never dies in clubland. You got to blow your own horn!"**
Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another one of my fave T-Puss edits! The thing that actually dissappointed me on this mix was that the radio edit and the club mix were completely different. The club mix was stripped down with minimal synths and no big breakdown. This edit tho, is synth galore (and lots of cowbell--I. Love. Cowbells!! lol) and the breakdown is killer!!! This mix earned T-Puss and Shakira the #5 spot on the dance charts as well.**
Tamia - Stranger In My House (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When this song came out, I was sure that it would never die!!! Don't get me wrong--Loved the song, really and truly--But between club play and radio play, they beat this song to DEATH!! Now, several years later, I can listen to it again with enthusiasm I had for it the first time. We all knows Hex's mix for this and it was legendary and definitely one of the best of his career, but for me, it was all about the T-Puss mix! The 'pop quiz' breakdown is one of the best that Thunderpuss has ever put together!**
Thunderpuss - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When I first saw this CD and saw the title, I was so confused. I had heard the term Pigbag when talking about football but I didn't exactly see the corrollation. Well, for all those who don't get it--Here's the story: Pigbag was a British post-punk band who formed around 1980. This song, which was born out of a random jam session, became their signature song, the title a play on James Brown's "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag". The song's legacy continues on being played at sports events around the world. I'm not sure why Thunderpuss decided to cover it, but if you get ahold of the original and this one, it really shows just how versatile Thunderpuss was!**
Thunderpuss feat Latanza Waters - Stand Up (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**The Magic Cucumbers' classic which originally featured Jocelyn Brown and Connie Harvey gets an update from Thunderpuss in a major way!! The original was great, but Thunderpuss really took it to the next level here with build ups, vocal effects, hard driving synths and an outstanding vocal from miss Latanza Waters.**

Thunderpuss

If I made a compilation CD entitled "My Musical Childhood: Edited" it would probably be dominated by Thunderpuss (aka Chris Cox & Barry Harris). When Thunderpuss was formed in late 1997, I doubt they had any idea that their sound would dominate the world's dance music genre.

Their songs became the ones everyone knew and preferred. Whether it's Whitney's "It's Not Right, But It's Ok" or Amber's "Sexual (Li Da Di)", their music had staying power which is relevant today just as much as it was then. Go to any club and throw on either of those and watch the place erupt.

What's even better about them is that they almost ALWAYS made official radio edits and managed to get them PERFECTLY! It's very rare that I would ever have to even make my own, unless there just isn't one!

They've given us so much great music and I'm so happy and proud to display some of it here. So without further ado: Thunderpuss.

Amber - Sexual (Li Da Di) (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Does anyone NOT know this song? Classic classic classic!**

Anastacia - Boom (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This song wasn't a huge success (it never even charted in the US) but it was the official song for the 2002 Fifa World Cup in Korea and the highest it got was any chart was #7, in Sweden. I love this song and this is one of those rare remixes that actually works on it's own as just a tribe-a-pella. Even the club mix is pretty simple at times, without a lot of synth work at all.**

Boomkat - The Wreckoning (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Boomkat is made up of brother and sister Kellin & Taryn Manning who's first CD, 2003's "Boomkatalog. One" seemed full of promise...however, aside from a cult following, the CD only reached #88 here (reaching it's highest peak at#43 in New Zealand). Now, five years later, the group just released their second CD "A Million Trillion Stars" in June. This song though, the ambitious lead single from their first CD has Taryn screaming out lyrics like "You don't give a shit about me!", paired with Thunderpuss' almost distorted sounding synths is a dance music dream!**

Charlotte Church - Tonight (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Nothing about Charlotte Church should've brought her close to a dancefloor lol. This mini-me Sarah Brightman had an established career becoming the youngest artist with a #1 album in the British classical crossover charts (for her cd "Voice Of An Angel"). In 2001, Charlotte released "Enchantment" which followed in the same footsteps as her first two CD's, this one including a duet/cover of Celine & Andrea Bocelli's "The Prayer" with pop-opera favorite Josh Grobin. Track one is this song, a cover of the classic "West Side Story" showstopper and how it landed in Thunderpuss' lap, I'll never know but I'm SO glad it did! They took this song to place it never dreamed of going!! I had the opportunity to see Thunderpuss live at Roxy in NYC and they played this and it was INSANE!!! The vocal tricks in this mix are to DIE for!!!**

Cher - Song For The Lonely (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Believe it or not, this isn't one of my favorite Cher songs. It's a great song and I do like it alot, but I could do without it...It's just eh to me. Thunderpuss did what they do best though and made magic with it. Being such a huge fan of Cher though, it was always great to hear her voice in the clubs! I also just had to include that picture which is the cover for the European promo single. It's so rediculous, I love her!!**

Christina Aguilera - What A Girl Wants (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**This song always bothered me for one reason. The lyric: "I wanna thank you for giving me time to breathe. Like a rock, you waited so patiently while I got it together..." is so rediculous! Rocks don't wait patiently. It's not like they have a choice, do they? Ah well. It was a huge hit for her and we get two different remixes here from Thunderpuss. The Fiesta Mix and the Dirty Club Mix. The Fiesta one is full of horns and has a latin flair which is fun, but I don't think it works that well with this song. The Dirty one is just that; Dirty industrial sounding synths make this mix work better and take a much younger Aguilera then on a wild ride!**
Eurythmics - 17 Again (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This song has the distinction of being the most money I've ever paid for a piece of vinyl. $40 bucks got me the Peter Rauhofer vinyl which was pressed by Peter himself and only sent out to a very select few. Mere pittance for something of that caliber and at the time when this song was making waves, I just HAD to have it! When I heard that Thunderpuss did a mix, I was thrilled as well, but could it beat the masterpiece that was Peter's mix?? Well, I dunno if it beats it, but it's definitely on the same level. Much more of a pop sounding remix, this one has sick energy and great buildups that are just SO Thunderpuss!**

Janet Jackson - All For You (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This has to be some of Thunderpuss' best vocal work. This and their mix for Mandy Moore's "In My Pocket" sees Thunderpuss making the most of their vocal re-working capabilites and this was the perfect song to do it on. By far, my all time favorite Janet remix!**
Kina - Me (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**ANTHEM ALERT!!! ANTHEM ALERT!!! Most people know Kina from when she was in the Grammy nominated band Brownstone but back in 2000 she set off on what should've been a very successful solo career. She released her first single "Girl From The Gutter" which peaked at #21 on the Hot Dance/Club Play charts (with amazing mixes from both Thunderpuss and Hex Hector--both of which will be featured in due time) but single number two, "Me" is where it's at!! Thunderpuss rips this song apart!!! This song made it to #3 on the same charts and it's easy to see why! I couldn't have edited this song more perfectly if I tried. DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!!!! lol**
LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Can you believe that LeAnn has released 35 singles in her career from 12 albums? Wow. This song off the Coyote Ugly soundtrack was LeAnn's first foray into straight up pop music and it was a good choice! It went #1 on the pop charts in Australia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK (stalling at #11 on the US pop chart, #17 on the US dance chart--Do we EVER have a clue music wise??). This song, to date, was the last song by LeAnn to chart in the top forty Hot 100 chart. Im sure that all the able-bodied remixers jumped at their chance to remix this. It was made for the dance floor. Plasmic Honey, Graham Stack and Thunderpuss all got their chances to take this song on and Thunderpuss was a cut above the rest. This mix is made of vocal stutters and buildups!**
Thunderpuss feat Thea Austin - First Class Freak (JM's Ripped Radio Edit)
**Thunderpuss first got together with Thea Austin (who many don't realize was the voice behind 1992's "Rhythm Is A Dancer" by Snap and 1999's "Can't Get Enough" by Soulsearcher) for the song "You're The Worst Thing For Me" which I've posted previously and it was awesome! This song, which unfortunately never saw a proper release, was featured on their compilation CD "Barry Harris & Chris Cox preset Thunderpuss". If anyone has a full mix, I'd be greatly appreciative, but till then, I ripped this from the cd and polished the edges a bit. Enjoy!**

Songs That Got Away and Some That Didn't

Ashley Jade - On The Run (Joe Bermudez & Josh Harris Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I got this CD at PerfectBeat.com (which I LOVE) and I had higher hopes for it. While it's not AWFUL by any means, it doesn't really seem to go anywhere. At least not for me. I like alot of Joe's and Josh's mixes and while this has some of those elements, I think the problems could be in the song structure itself. At best it's cute but it's one of those songs that will keep you moving at the gym while you're waiting for a REALLY good song to come on.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ttibljybyix

Bob Sinclar - Freedom (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Long before he gave us 'World Hold On', 'Love Generation' and all those other anthems that they're now playing at Sweet 16's, Bob Sinclar's music was a little more on the underground side. Thunderpuss took a really great vocal and worked their magic with it. While this isn't one of the more known TP mixes, it's definitely a goodie. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Those guys can make a build up out of anything!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ggmjicc534i

Danity Kane - Damaged (Mike Rizzo Global Factory Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I love this song. It's more than a guilty pleasure, it's a down right obsession. I've loved it since I first heard it as a low quality clip months ago. I just knew that it would get remixed. It's begging for one. And there have been mixes...quite a few actually...and to be honest, Im not 100% thrilled with any of them. Mike Rizzo did a good job with this and it's fun to listen to but doesn't quite pack the punch that the original has. See, the great thing about the original is that beat. It thumps, it's loud and it carries the song. When you take that element out, you're left with just another uptempo pop song and I feel that that is what alot of the remixes I've heard have done. But again, this mix is cute.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ihnd1mcvzfn

Dirty Laundry - Bandolea (Original Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of those rare instrumentals that I'll post here. This was an additional track on the CD single for the song "Calabria" (not the same one that got popular as of recently) and I actually enjoyed this song more than the main song so I thought I'd post it. It's got a great beat and a great hook, played in an accordian-type sound which makes me wanna put a rose in my mouth and dance in my living room. Perfect for cleaning the apartment lol...**
http://www.mediafire.com/?gxgqzzjt2ci

Jocelyn Enriquez - When I Get Close To You (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**For me, this song falls into the catagory that me and my friend Billy call "The Fabled Top 3". As we discuss our music, we have different levels of enthusiasm. There's the "Hand Over Mouth" which means I'm completely gagging over it. Then there's the "This is so top 10" which means I love it and play it all the time now. And then there's the pinnacle: "This is TOTALLY Top 3" which means I will be listening to this till they put me in a box. This song is one of those for me. I will never tire of this song. C-L-A-S-S-I-C!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?eldnzt5matf

Kate Ryan - The Promise You Made (Joe Bermudez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I've loved Kate for awhile. She's blonde, she's Belgian and she has a great voice. The first song I heard by her ("Scream For More") blew me away as a great pop trance song which took the overseas charts over. Then I heard her cover of the Mylene Farmer french classic "Desenchantee" which was equally as brilliant. If you can, get her CD "Different". It's incredible. However, the high hopes I had for this song which would bring her BPM's down a bit to the 128 area just kinda fell flat. I think this might be one of those songs that might've made a better ballad than a dance song. You can judge.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?02d2ntmntcm

Katy Perry - I Kissed A Girl (Jason Nevins Rock The Club Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I love this song!! LoL!! It's pure cheese but Katy has a great turn of phrase and a great voice to match. I've heard 3 of her songs and Im very much looking forward to her CD when it comes out. Jason Nevins did his classic style remix and this one works very well.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?pjtyhn2fzmo

Lauren Marie - My Heart (Dom Capello Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Dom Capello doesn't get enough credit. Yes he's straight and primarily works for the Jonathan Peters types of dance music but as a solo artist his productions are stellar and should get more play than they seem too. This one was always a favorite of mine, released on Miswax records (another label fave of mine), Lauren may not have the best voice, but I would rock out to this for sure.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?x4mnnj5zjbh

Lisa Pure - I'm Over You (Original Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**We all love a good "Fuck You" song from time to time, right? Well this one delivers in the way it should. Penned by Lisa and Giuseppe D and produced by him as well, even with a lower bpm (somewhere between 125 &127) and some now-outdated piano sounds, it still makes me dance in my chair.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?tzjm1krytlb

SK8 - Nation (Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I have to say that I feel very lucky to have experience the place that this song was written about. The now closed nightclub "Nation", formerly in Washington, DC is sorely missed. The cavernous space and wonderful management/staff always made for SUCH a great time when I got to go down there. It's only fitting that there should be a song written about it. Mixed by Chris Cox and Yiannis, who were favorites at Nation, the song just takes you there. Lyrics like "I know what you'll say/Better get my shit together someday/Try try but sometimes still getting home on Tuesday. You think it sounds crazy but it's just another night at Nation/If my eyes look hazy it was just another night at Nation." which basically describes everynight I've been there!**

Randomania: Part Two

Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way (JM's Bruce Cockburn Radio Edit)
**As cheesy as the pop music was at this time, the mixes were just as cheesy and sometimes even more so! However, every once in awhile you'd get a mix that actually went somewhere and didn't sound like the demo button on a Casio keyboard. This is one of them. I just found this mix again on an 8 year old CD and I've never found this mix since. I don't know who Bruce Cockburn is, but aside from having a name that makes me giggle, he gave us this really high energy and drama filled mix!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?bcn4bwbw34w

Britney Spears - Sometimes (JM's Thunderpuss Radio Edit)
**What I love about this is it's a perfect time capsule mix. This is both early Thunderpuss (when they were still Thunderpuss 2000 or TP2K) and early Britney. Both have come a long way since this but it's still interesting to hear such a young Britney and a very rough around the edges Thunderpuss production.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?qmsjcqbjmfn

CeCe Peniston - Movin On (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is SUCH a great track! The thing that sucks about an artist like CeCe is that once she released "Finally" that seemed to be it for her. She made her mark in dance/pop music and was seen as a one hit wonder after that. She's had SO much great music and back in 1996 she had this song. This is classic Junior right here so grab it while it's hot!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?b2mxonwwxdd

Francesca Gramm - Time Waits For No One (Warren Rigg Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I love when the big time remixer collaborators get to step up to the plate and show us what they're made of. 9 times out of 10 they sound just like the mixes they do with the big time remixers, which kinda always made me wonder what their parts are in the mixes? Who really knows? Well, Warren Rigg not only produced this track but co wrote it as well with Miss Gramm (who by the looks of the CD cover looks like a Mrs. Gramm) and it's a really great production! Francesca's voice does leave a little bit to be desired but she's got a husky, Marlene Dietrich-esque sound that works, but it doesn't really go anywhere. You be the judge!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?1dxmwk14ymt

Geri Halliwell - Lift Me Up (Almighty Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Geri just never got enough credit in my eyes. While here in America her music was panned, back at home her stuff was constantly charting. Why do we as American's have such terrible taste in music?? I'll never understand it. This was my favorite song from her first solo CD "Schizophonic" and it yielded 3 mixes: This one from Almighty, a mainstream one from Metro and a funky one from K-Klass. I have the first two official edits and wasn't really a fan of the K-Klass so...**
http://www.mediafire.com/?cybta1tixze

Geri Halliwell - Lift Me Up (Metro Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**While Almighty gave a high energy mix, Metro made it very simple and straightforward. They're the masterminds behind Cher's mega-hit "Believe" so you can take the cue from there of what to expect.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?nwmte5fdz5w

Rockell - Tears (JM's Dezrok Radio Edit)
**I've always been a fan of Rockell as I've always loved freestyle music. As time went on it was natural she'd end up on the dance floor and she made it in a big way. Her hit "The Dance" was a favorite of mine for SUCH a long time and continuing with that sound, this mix comes courtesy of Dezrok. Both he and Hex Hector produced "The Dance" but this time on his own, he created originall an 11 minute anthem! One thing I love about his work is that they usually have the most gorgeous intro's that tend to get cut when making an edit for a CD single. However, I had to include it here, so I fused the intro of the Club Mix with the original Radio Edit to get this. Enjoy!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?0hbuwzx3wvz

Rockik - Memories (Widelife Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**When I first heard this song, it was the Robbie Rivera Dub which was outstanding and a staple of NY nightlife when this came out. However, since I don't usually edit dubs, I needed a vocal mix and while the original one is a funky upbeat track, Widelife turned it around and kept the energy but made the sound bigger. I love them for that!!**

Welcome Back to...uh...ME!!!

So yes, the time has come and I had to come back! There's way too much music out there for me to not share!

As you may or may not have noticed, I have a new layout, but aside from that, there have been quite a few blogs that have been deleted lately and I really don't want to be one of them. The main cause of it seems to be the posting of either Mariah Carey or Madonna's music.

And even though I did a really cute edit of the Seamus Haiji mix of Mariah's "Touch My Body", I don't feel comfortable posting it for the time being. I'd like to keep this blog as under the radar as possible.

Having said that, here's some random stuff that's made it's way to MY radar lately!

Cher - Paradise Is Here (JM's Junior Vasquez Arena Radio Mix)
**I love Cher so much and if all goes well, I'll be going to see her in Vegas later this year with the hubby! But even though I love her and I love Junior, this is not one of my favorites but a special request. The original is a great song and I don't know that I think this one translated that well to the dancefloor. Ah well! You can be the judge!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?mc1tnxnby0n

Cynthia - I Never Said (Giuseppe D Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of those songs that could've gone under the Songs That Got Away posting but it's just SO good that I had to post it now. Why oh why don't these songs do that well?? I would dance my ass off to this!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?gkubgidevmd

Faith Hill - The Way You Love Me (Love To Infinity Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I love when they take artists far away from their own element and even though Faith Hill is a country/pop artist, she sounds great on the dancefloor. I've posted an edit for Hex Hector's "Breathe" and this is just a really funky and fun edit for this song. Love To Infinity has a great way of adding a feel-good vibe to anything. A great summer song.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?ufsjuzmxbmt

Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real (Dezrok Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Like I always say 'There's always room for J-Lo!' and this is no exception. Excellent production once again from Dezrok and even though the version with Ja Rule became big, I like that Dezrok mixed the original version of the song.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?dtg1bxwxiiw

Jerry Springer The Opera feat Alison Jiear - I Just Wanna Fuckin Dance (JM's Wayne G Extended Radio Mix)
**This song kills me! The first time I heard this I was hysterical! But it's hard to argue with a lyric like "I don't give a fuck no more, if people think I am a whore. I just wanna dance!". Having said that, this is from a musical they made in London about the Jerry Springer show and this song made it's way into the very able hands of Wayne G. Well, he didn't just turn this out, he WERQUED it out!! High energy doesn't even cover it!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?myk1ct0medg

Karen Ramirez - Looking For Love (JM's Peter Rauhofer Radio Mix)
**Somewhere inbetween Peter's evolution (if you can call it that) of style from the Club 69 days to whatever it is he calls his sound now there was a transition period that yielded a slew of great mixes. kd Lang's "Consquences of Falling" which I've posted was one of them and this was another one. Another Sunday night at Limelight classic for me! Great synths by Peter and smooth vocals from out and proud lesbian Karen Ramirez!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?dsvtxusc3jv

LeAnn Rimes - Can't Fight The Moonlight (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Does anyone NOT know this song? Smash hit by LeAnn for the Coyote Ugly movie soundtrack and even though Plasmic Honey did a cute mix of this too, Thunderpuss killed it!! If there's one thing those boys could do it's make a buildup out of ANYthing!!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?vw1jfwm1zns

Paul Oakenfold feat Brittany Murphy - Faster Kill Pussycat (JM's Eddie Baez Radio Edit)
**Who knew that all those years after "Clueless" little Brittany Murphy would become such a great singer! The rumor has it that she's been doing back up on hip hop and R&B songs for years but didn't want to be credited for it because she didn't feel comfortable being in the forefront as a singer. They say that she's the female voice on Nelly's "Hot In Herre" but who knows for sure? Only Brit. Well leave it to Oakenfold to get her to be THE vocalist on one of his tracks and the collaboration couldn't have been more perfect. This is one of those songs thats great in any incarnation but Eddie really made something out of it! So much so that I prefer this over the original which is also amazing!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?ljxnwbz0ci2

Pet Shop Boys - I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Anymore (Peter Rauhofer Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Quite possibly one of the longest song titles ever but it's a great song. PSB came back in a big way with their CD "Nightlife" and then just kinda disappeared again. What gives?? This mix however falls into the aforementioned transition period for Peter and as a result is awesome!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?exhdusmvz31

Pet Shop Boys & Peter Rauhofer - Break For Love (US Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is how the collaboration all started. Incredible update of a classic by both parties here.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?enyhjzznvx4

Willa Ford - I Wanna Be Bad (Sal Parm Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Where oh where can my Willa be? She had this big hit and then some minor ones, then ended up on Dancing With The Stars and then....a big fat nothing. Ah well! Sal Parm, the guy behind Plasmic Honey did a great job with this track though.**

Hey everyone!!!

I just wanted to thank you all for all your kind words and well wishing while I've been at school and all that jazz. I will be back soon...Im hoping within the week...I've got alot of great stuff to post and it's buggin me that I haven't haha!

So keep checking back! Any day now I shall return! Hah!

Here's some stuff I had just layin around in the meantime since you've all been so good with me with this!!!

Knob - Music (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**A new song from this hot Israeli dance/pop duo!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?sxyd2t01j4n

Krista - Weakness Of The Body (Josh Harris Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Originally a Brenda K Starr song, then covered as a Demo track by Mariah Carey, now updated by Krista with a great production by Josh Harris. I reccommend tracking down the Mariah one if you're a fan of her and/or freestyle music.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?92kxsykyokz

Matchbox Twenty - How Far We've Come (Ralphi Rosario & Craig J Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I've always loved Rob Thomas. Aside from the fact that he's dead sexy he's incredibly talented as well. Ralphi and Craig were able to transform this rock gem into a great club thomper with ease.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?4ui3l2m1sdl

Dame Shirley Bassey - Get This Party Started (Shirley Bassey vs Chris Cox Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**I don't really know what to say about this one. I knew it was going to be rediculous and all but I think Chris really did a great job with it! The thing that's interesting is that it's just as good as Pink's version (yes, it IS that song) but in a different way. Drag queens take your mark!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?asgyejmzx1k

Laura Blake - Save The Best For Last (Almighty Anthem Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is Almighty doing what Almighty does best--Cover versions. Some work. Some don't. This does!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?9y02iyy0o5w

Abigail - Let The Joy Rise (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is one of my favorite classic TP2k mixes! It's a shame to see Abigial fizzle out the way she did, but thank goodness we got this outta her before she did! A sure fire way to kick things up a notch!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?dxngd2zzg3z

Cher - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore (JM's Alternate Junior Vasquez Radio Edit)
**There's artists and then there's Cher. And within that, there's this mix. This is one of the first mixes/songs I heard by Junior/Cher and I was floored. This mix is so grandiose I just couldn't handle it haha! But of course, since Junior is Junior, he made 1,200 mixes of it lol... This is an edit I did for an alternate mix of his which is a little more stripped down and is more beat driven. Enjoy!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?sj1cg1s5dtt

Enjoy and thanks again for all your loyalty!!

As my old friend Lawrence would say...

..."All I need is a big black bitch singin out her pussy!!"

I need no other explanation for this post. I love these women here! THIS is how dance music vocals are done!!

Barry Harris feat Pepper Mashay - I Got My Pride (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Basically any dance song that has 'pride' in it is bound to be an anthem. It's here, it's queer, get used to it!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?avxhmm4u9yc

Dolce - Fire (Orange Factory Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**My fave Dolce song. Where is SHE now??**
http://www.mediafire.com/?2vxsmtp3fzd

Jennifer Holliday - A Woman's Got The Power (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**There's no words for this one. Jennifer at her finest! She really is MY Dreamgirl!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?2xsmmyed5zu

Jennifer Holliday - A Woman's Got The Power (Thunderpuss Pop Crossover Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is produced by Thunderpuss but it's alot tamer than the other mix. This is like Thunderpuss' Lite FM version. Still a dance beat but a little prettier...er...as pretty as this song could ever get.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?4sdikj1mx2m

Jennifer Holliday - Think It Over (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Another great track from Jenn and Thunderpuss!! As much as I love the edits for these songs, I highly reccommend the full club mixes on these two Jenn songs.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?5jkm4gjjxje

Jennifer Holliday - Think It Over (Original Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This version has more of a soulful disco house feel which is nice, but not something I really get into that often. I will say this though, go to the end of the edit, listen to the last 10 seconds. The noise she makes clearly isn't human. It's like she's eating notes by the second. How could you NOT love her??**

http://www.mediafire.com/?czbmqmmyg2e

Reina - Anything For Love (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**She may not be actually black but she's big alright and she's got a big voice to go with it. She's a mainstream dance music dream with catchy songs that make you throw your hands in the air. This one's no exception! Also, the backup singers on this one are dance music's own Deborah Cooper and Mariah Carey backup singer Mary Ann Tatum!**

http://www.mediafire.com/?0lyzmghwmxn

Reina - Anything For Love (Welcome Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**A different take on this great track**
http://www.mediafire.com/?cj9jwmgxqot

Reina - Find Another Woman (Hex Hector Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**It's a classic! Nuff said!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?6mdgtxk1yzy

Reina - Miss The Way (Razor N Guido Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Of all of Reina's songs, this is by far and above my favorite. Co-Written by Guido Osorio for their 'Dancefloor' CD, Reina rips this one apart with excellent production by Razor & Guido.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?6cv0tjs130m

Reina - Miss The Way (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**While I definitely prefer Razor N Guido's mix of this, Junior's effort is excellent! Not as high energy as the RNG but it has some great elements in it.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?exbgxv2yn33

Reina - No One's Gonna Change You (Jonathan Peters Radio Edit)
**Official Edit**
**Another Reina classic! This is a gorgeous production by JP here but not my favorite.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?8ywigdxmx91

Reina - No One's Gonna Change You (Robbie Tronco Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Maybe it's because I heard this one before JP's but this is the mix I prefer. I fell in love with this song with this mix and even tho JP did an excellent job on this song, I prefer Robbie's tougher approach to it because it is in fact a "fuck you" type song.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?egihibzm9j9

Kim English - Bumpin & Jumpin (Michael T Diamond Radio Edit)
**Official Edit**
**As much as I love some of her music, I never got why this one was as big as it was. Yes, Michael did a good job with it, but I think that Missing You was a MUCH better song and should've been a bigger hit than it was.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?3941z9jn314

Kim English - Missing You (JM's Extended Mindtrap Radio Mix)
**Tough song to edit!! There's so much of Kim throughout, so I did as best as I could and still trying to get the best parts from the song. This is a highly underrated Kim song and my favorite of all of her stuff.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?8421m40mwdn

Kim English - Supernatural (Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**A lesser known Kim song. Produced by Hula.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?52ib34xya4z

Kim English - Unspeakable Joy (Razor N Guido Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This is Kim at her peak. This song was as unstoppable as it was 'unspeakable'.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?5mscmxzn34k

Kim English - Unspeakable Joy (Bobby D'Ambrosio Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**A funkier take on it. It's labeled as the Osio Edit when you DL it cause thats how they have it on the single, but I like to give people their credit when it's do.**

http://www.mediafire.com/?3mtmjn4zm3m

Deborah Cox - Something Happened On The Way To Heaven (JM's Junior Vasquez Radio Mix)
**While the Valentin mix to this really took over mainstream radio, I find that the Junior mix excells in the story telling aspect of this Phil Collins cover. Deborah of course sounds excellent and Junior's production is dark and dramatic which I love.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?32cyyd2cgdj

Donna Summer - I Will Live For Love (JM's Chris Cox Radio Edit)
**This song was written by Donna for a musical she was writing about her life and times. Originally produced by Giorgio Moroder, Chris Cox took this WAY up to the next level! Drama galore and amazing vocals from the original Disco Diva!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?8gj9ejzljdx

Pusaka presents Thea Austin - You're The Worst Thing For Me (JM's Dirty Pusaka Radio Edit)
**Thea Austin originally had her claim to fame as the voice behind Snap's "The Power" in the early 90's and thank god we had her for this anthem! Pusaka is actually the team of Chris Cox and DJ Irene who really made something amazing here. It's a shame they haven't collaborated again. I had to splice this one up because the radio edit on the single was censored when she sing "And I'm outta my head cause you're fucking my friend" and, well, how could I NOT include that?? Since I went that far, I also added the talking part at the end from the full mix.**
http://www.mediafire.com/?759smiqjzmw

Vernessa Mitchell - This Joy (Razor N Guido Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Who doesn't know this one either? This is Dance Music History 101 and you don't get bigger or blacker than my girl Vernessa. Take it to church honey!!!**
http://www.mediafire.com/?2n4mmfv4np1

Vernessa Mitchell - This Joy (Junior Vasquez Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**This song was actually in a movie. A documentary really called "Hang The DJ" which featured Junior in it...as well as Kristine W. Even though the RNG mix was the more popular one, Junior turned out a solid club thomper as well.**

Tony Moran feat Deborah Cooper - Live You All Over (JM's Radio Edit)
**When Tony remixes a song, it's almost always amazing but when Tony writes and produces an original song, it's a whole new story. Deborah Cooper comes out from backup singer to the forefront in this one (as she did with Victor Calderone in "Are You Satisfied?") and really lets us have it!**

Pop Post Part Two!!

This is a continuing post from the last bunch of pop remix edits I posted not too long ago. Again, most of these are official and will be noted as such and are once again broken down by remixer. Enjoy!!!

Dezrok:

La Bouche - In Your Life (Dezrok Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**We all know them from their hits like "Be My Lover" and "Sweet Dreams" but this song was released in 2002 which was a B-side from Melanie Thorton's solo career but since her death (due to a plane crash in 2001) the song was re-worked with vocals from Le Click's Kayo Shekoni to complete it. Dezrok really took this to the next level. The vocals are stunning as is his production and it would've been nice to see La Bouche go down the vocal house route with an updated sound.**

Richie Santana:

Mandy Moore - Candy (Richie Santana Radio Edit) **Official Edit**
**Even though Richie Santana has kinda gone down the dark tribal route with Victor Calderone, there was a time when he was making a living from tearing up cheesy pop records which is what he did here. Mandy Moore, even at her youngest, was given a great treatment from Richie here and is my favorite mix of this song. And btw, Mr. Santana is hot as hell as well! Haha!**

Cynthia & Sa-Fire - Can You Stand The Rain (JM's Richie Santana Radio Edit)
**Back in 2001 Sa-Fire tried to get a jump back on her career by releasing a Best Of CD produced by her old friend Tony Moran. Tony did an ANTHEMIC mix of her classic "Don't Break My Heart" as well as redoing some old school beats with new vocals from Sa-Fire as well. The cd also included a new duet with fellow freestyle diva Cynthia. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of it, but Richie did turn out a solid production which deserves to be heard.**

LeAnn Rimes - I Need You (JM's Richie Santana Radio Edit)

**I. Love. This. Song. LeAnn ALWAYS sounds great on the dancefloor and this is no exception. Richie gaves us a hands in the air vocal anthem here which to me is where he really shines! This song is actually from a religious movie called "Jesus" which means it's actually a love song about God but that's fine. I'll take it sweet and sentimental in my mind instead lol**

Wild Orchid - Stuttering (JM's Richie Santana Radio Mix)

**This song just doesn't stop!!! SUPERB mix by Richie here!! It's completely loaded with some great synths and it's interesting to hear Fergie before Fergie was Fergie lol She was one of the members of this girl group. Hint: The big note in the buildup? That's her! And this time, she isn't spelling it out.**

Thunderpuss:

Enrique Iglasias - Be With You (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**Alright. This is a guilty pleasure. This was one of those mixes where I felt like Thunderpuss was going for something a little more trancey. Different sound for The Puss but I liked it!**

Jennifer Lopez - Feelin So Good (Thunderpuss Radio Edit) **Official Edit**

**There's always room for J-Lo and TP always did her well.**

Lovin really IS her game!!

Ok, first things first. Here's a little insight into my musical taste...

If the artist looks like her, I immediately love her! Big black women are ALWAYS welcomed on my radio!

Which is why it comes as no surprise that Ann Nesby (former lead singer of gospel group Sounds Of Blackness) should end up here on my blog. Ann also happens to be Paris Bennett's grandmother, who garnered her place in the spotlight on TV's American Idol last season.

And God bless Thunderpuss for turning out an INSANE high energy anthem that does WONDERS for Ann's more than lifesize voice! And really, how can you argue with lyrics like "I can't catch no man hangin out at the discotheque. Oh, I believe in the boogie, but the boogie don't believe in me!"

Thunderpuss for me was everything that I wanted in dance music and I truly believe that they are a big part of what's missing from today's dance music. A boy can dream though. This was a very big chore to cut down but I did my best while trying to keep all the wailing I love in the song! Haha!

And back in 2000 this song earned Ann a number one spot on Billboard' Dance/Club Play charts, which made it number 3 of her consecutive top 5 songs on the same chart.
